What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Salto de la Moneda as a beautiful and rewarding natural destination. The waterfall and its refreshing pools are a major draw, offering a perfect escape after a hike. While the trails can be challenging, the scenic views and the adventurous options make it a memorable experience for many.
"It is a very nice place, the entrance costs 6 thousand per person, the parking is safe. To get to the waterfall you can choose between two paths of different difficulties, the "medium" difficulty one is good since you can see the pasture lake from above, and on the way back you can take the "easy" path, the main waterfall is 2 meters deep, but on the sides you can stand on the stones.
I recommend doing it, it is very nice."

"Beautiful place, it's hard to get there by walking cross-country between hills and mountains and going between ravines. Basically, the reward is a heavenly view here, very beautiful."
Cristian Dieci
"Beautiful experience to reach the coin jump. We went along the path from the stream along the river and even crossing the river. In my experience it is more fun with much more shade and they don't charge you. On the other side it is signposted and they charge you between 5 thousand pesos per person. The path is easier there but there is no shade, you will die from the heat in summer. The only good thing is that you can drive up to a certain point and then you start walking. But actually coasting the river makes it more entertaining. There are dogs in the area that go with you as a literal guide and you don't get lost. And if you don't ask the firefighters and they tell you to always follow the river on the right side. The walk lasts an hour or an hour and a half depending on each person. Then the place invites you to rest and cool off in its deep waters. Excellent experience! It can be done with children."
