What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Half Moon Bay for its stunning natural beauty, from its expansive beaches to its dramatic coastal cliffs. The fall season, with its vibrant pumpkin patches and festivals, is a major highlight. While the scenery is a huge draw, some visitors note that parking can be challenging and seaweed can be present on beaches, particularly outside of peak summer months.
"Half moon bay beach is an amazing white sand beach on the extreme southwest part of Antigua. There are strong waves crashing over the rocky coast entrance to this bay but dissipate somewhat as they reach the beach area. Portions of the beach are more protected and have more gentle waves and easier swimming.
There is a nearby convenient place to get something to eat (Beach Bum bar and Cafe) that is mostly open air."
Jim Holland
"Beautiful beach with some pretty large waves that are fun to bodysurf on. Very private too: we only saw 5 other people besides ourselves there. Lot of seaweed on the shore in mid June though with bugs in it, bugs don't bite thankfully. There's an area way off to the far left that has a clean, calm sandy area that's worth walking to."
Jake M
"We were there on Friday afternoon around 4, no people which was excellent but the place is extremely full of seaweed except on the edges. There's a small ber/snack shop, but was closing when we got there so we didn't get to taste. The water is pretty good, but lots of seaweed. Smell is pretty bad."
