"This restaurant might not be consistent because compared to all the bad to mediocre reviews here, I thought this restaurant had good food. The restaurant was picked and the menu was set for us but all the dishes were pleasant and filling. Again, not sure why it's got so many bad reviews but our experience eating here was quite favorable."

"If you’re on a Ninh Binh tour, you’ll likely end up at Nhà hàng Trường An for lunch, as it’s a regular stop for tour groups.

The meal includes rice crackers with a gooey “special soup” that wasn’t served at the right temperature, making it unappetizing. Their specialty, goat meat wrap, was just okay—not bad, but nothing memorable either.

The restaurant seems to have agreements with tour operators, so buses all stop here, leaving little choice for visitors."

"Upon ordering, food came really quickly. Asked the waitress to explain how to eat.

The burnt rice came with a bowl of soup that was very thick. The rice should be broken and eaten with the soup. Mini pieces of minced meat and vegetables with probably thick corn starch were present in the soup.

For the mountain goat wraps, to place vegetables, goat meat on the rice paper provided prior to rolling and dipping in the sauce provided. Meat did not have a smell and tasted slightly like beef.

Overall, food was nothing fantastic. Main bulk of customers seemed to be from tour groups. Free bananas provided at the end of the meal."
