What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Elijah's Oyster & Fish Camp is a beloved Wilmington institution known for its fresh seafood and stunning riverfront views. Diners rave about the vibrant atmosphere, attentive service, and classic dishes like crab dip and oysters. While many praise the quality and quantity of food, some reviews note that certain traditional dishes have been altered, leading to disappointment for long-time patrons.
"If compared to what they used to be, I’d have to give them a three star, it definitely is a different dining experience now.
However, taken at face value with no comparison, they definitely deserve five!! Great service, amazing food with large quantities. Wait time for the food ran pretty long, but everything was so good once it came. I think our waitress’s name was Erika, she did an excellent job!"

"I was craving oysters, something simple, and Brandon suggested classic Oysters Rockefeller. Each oyster was buttery and briny, nothing too crazy, and the spinach gave it a nice rich texture. It was a great snack to match the view of the thunderstorm on the water. I loved the plate. One suggestion: make the plate look a little more interesting (even if that means presenting them on ice or something… it just needs something visually)."

"We love Elijah's and have been coming here for many, many years. It's a must when we are in downtown Wilmington. Their boil pots are really good. Today, we opted for riverside seating and a light lunch of Oysters a la Bienville and Carolina Firecracker oysters. Both were delicious. The Cape Fear Cooler was a great cocktail to beat the heat. Service at Elijah's is always great. Check them out!"
