Reviews Summary
Aberdeen Barn is celebrated for its classic steakhouse ambiance, generous portions, and high-quality cuts of meat, especially the prime rib. Diners often praise the attentive service and unique touches like tableside salad preparation. However, some reviews mention inconsistent service and a desire for a more intimate, dimly lit atmosphere.
"My husband and I went here for the first time on Monday 7/21 for my birthday! We arrived to a welcoming smile from the Hostess who sat us right away with our reservation. After only a few seconds of being at our table we were greeted by our server Mike! He helped us make our selections of appetizers and entrees. He is such an amazing server and you can tell he is passionate about his job. We overheard him having conversations with other tables and giving each and everyone his undivided attention. He really made our first experience memorable. We had the “oysters” and “bacon wrapped scallops” for appetizers then we both ordered the “Delmonico Steak”(i got the regular cut and my husband got the bone in cowboy cut), both came with a salad and a choice of side(i got the baked potato and he got the mashed potatoes with an additional side of the mac and cheese. Everything was amazing and cooked to perfection including the warm bread that was also brought to the table. Mike was exceptional and so were the other servers in that area around us."

"A huge thank you to the wonderful staff — from the friendly host who greeted us to Brian and Gabe, who went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. We truly felt welcomed and appreciated every step of the way, since it was our first time in Virginia.
The porterhouse was cooked perfectly. It was tender, flavorful, and unforgettable. We ended up splitting one and were still full. The French onion soup had such a rich broth. The Pineapple Upside Down Bartini was just perfect, smooth, not too strong, and so delicious.
It was one of those meals where everything, from the food to the service, came together beautifully. We left full, happy, and already talking about when we can come back! I would recommend you make a reservation prior to coming."

"My wife and I visited on Friday evening. The restaurant was busy, but we didn’t have to wait for a table. The ambiance was very nice, and old fashioned steakhouse. I had the full cut Strip steak, and it was truly the best steak I’ve had in a while. It came out on a sizzling iron skillet cooked perfectly. My wife had salad and French Onion Soup which was delicious. The rolls and barn cheese and crackers are also a nice compliment. The next time that we are in Williamsburg, we’ll definitely be back!"

While Aberdeen Barn is a steakhouse, it has an extensive menu with plenty of options for regional seafood lovers. Their Chesapeake Bay blue crab dip is made from scratch and absolutely to die for, and their crab soup is deliciously buttery and comes with ample crab on top.
