Reviews Summary

Diners consistently praise The Blind Monk for its intimate and chic ambiance, making it ideal for dates or relaxed evenings. The extensive and affordable wine list is a major draw, complemented by delicious small bites and exceptional service from attentive staff. While most reviews are glowing, some find the wine prices on the higher side, and lighting could be improved for better food visibility.

"I stopped by The Blind Monk during my stay at the AKA West Palm Beach for an after dinner drink. The restaurant just moved locations and is absolutely beautiful inside. The service at the bar was great tonight. I would definitely return for a full meal the next visit!"

"As part of the a.k.a. hotel experience, this restaurant is an absolute vibe. Both the indoor and outdoor ambiance are spectacular. The food was quite good, the drinks were marvelous, and the service was exceptional. We especially loved our waitress—wish I could remember her name! Highly recommend this spot."

Jamil M.

"Invited to dinner at this WPB local place. First time diner. Outdoor dining available which is ample sized. A little warm yet I can see it’d be a fabulous area when our weather is cooler. We started outside then requested an inside table when I felt my legs were being bitten. (Not a commentary on the place, simply a part of outdoor life in FL, at times).

Taris, the Hostess, was fabulous! Upbeat, engaging, attentive and helpful. ⭐️ She quickly accommodated our change to an inside table and we kept our server, Marie, who was exceptional. Marie is friendly, very attentive, checking on us frequently, knows the menu and made great recommendations. I’ll say that the attendant staff is also doing a great job with keeping our water glasses filled, clearing the tables and frequently looking for any needs guests might have. Kudos to the Blind Monk Team!

The food….delectable! My pics don’t do it justice, yet I’m posting anyway so you can see size, portions and presentation. Compliments to the Chef and cooks! Flavors were delicious!

If you’re in WPB, this is a nice place to stop for a relaxing evening."

The 10 bars to hit tonight in West Palm Beach

While it may be named after a 17th century Benedictine monk who served as a cellarmaster in Champagne, don’t expect anything so pretentious at The Blind Monk. This is simply a neighborhood hangout, a wine bar that’ll remind you that West Palm Beach is a big small town, where you’ll likely see everyone you know. Somehow both swanky and relaxed, The Blind Monk rocks at the quite affordable happy hour, excuse us, “sommelier selections” time.

Wine Down: PBC's Top Wine Bars

Downtown West Palm was far less developed when Ben Lubin opened The Blind Monk in 2010 (561-833-3605). Since then, the hip outpost has evolved, moving away from the standard Cabernet and Pinot Noir and toward lesser-known varieties such as Kerner, Torrontes, Carignan, and Bonarda. “We’re the furthest from wine snobs you’re going to find,” says general manager Jason Hunt, who is a certified cicerone, or beer sommelier, which accounts for the 30 exotic craft brews on the menu.
