What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Olive Branch garners praise for its friendly service and delicious, hearty American breakfast and lunch fare. Many appreciate the warm ambiance and diverse menu options. However, some reviews mention uncomfortable chairs and occasional inconsistencies in service speed, though the food quality often outweighs these concerns.
"Nice choice for an elevated dish! I recommend the pesto melt or the chicken piccata. The regular fries and the sweet potato fries are both 10/10. Don't forget to check the bakery case for a nice dessert!"
Waco Food Review
"Never been here before but heard good things. First of all I was greeted at the door with a smile which is rare these days. The staff are welcoming and friendly. Quick service too. My server Tori was awesome in recommending food and very knowledgeable about the dishes. One of the owners asked of if I was being cared for, she was also sweet. Food was definitely delicious and it was plentiful. I ordered the steak and eggs with potatoes. The chimichurri sauce was a perfect addition. Steak chunks were tender!"

"We went for the first time on Mother's Day. Plenty of parking, and it looked great. Lots of seating as you wait for your table. We were told 45 minutes for the wait, which was fine for that day. We were seated within 30 minutes. I will say they have a poor choice in chairs, very uncomfortable. Our waiter did a poor job, we were pretty sure he was new, so we weren't too upset. The food, however, was delicious. My husband had the brisket bowl (I can't remember the name) and I had the shrimp and grits. I was getting lots of gumbo vibes from the grits but the sausage was sweeter than I was expecting. We definitely plan on coming back!"

Reviews by gidgettm - WacoFork
After having gone to Olive Branch for breakfast a handful of times, I was intrigued when I heard about a trial table-service dinner on the WacoFork blog. My husband, two kids, and I all went down on a Wednesday night to see what was going on. I have to say, the table-service option makes me so much more likely to go back for breakfast/brunch/lunch.
