"You know that place everyone keeps talking about? I finally decided to see what the fuss was about—and I’m so glad I did.
I’ll admit, I was a little nervous going in by myself, so I called ahead. Bella answered, and she couldn’t have been kinder. She answered all my questions with such warmth and zero judgment—it made me feel completely at ease before I even walked through the door.
When I arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. Ethan, my server, was genuinely helpful and walked me through the menu with patience and great suggestions.
I went with the French Dip Au Jus—tender roast beef, perfectly melted cheese with that beautiful golden edge, and a horseradish sauce that brought just the right amount of zing. And don’t even get me started on the au jus—it was rich, flavorful, and pulled the whole dish together perfectly.
But I’ll be honest—the main reason I came was for the crème brûlée. And let me just say… it did not disappoint. Crackly caramelized top, silky inside, and paired with a fresh mimosa—it was the kind of dessert that makes you pause between bites just to savor it.
I had the whole experience to myself—mimosa in hand, dessert on the table, and a perfect sunset view in front of me. Peaceful, satisfying, and exactly what I needed.
There’s plenty of parking, and even though I came alone, I never once felt out of place. It’s the kind of spot where you can treat yourself, slow down, and enjoy something special—just for you."

"What a wonderful evening at The Porch. My son took my daughter (his sister) and myself out to dinner, an outside table with the sun setting over the water. The food!!! My son must really love us to bring us here because he doesn’t even eat seafood! His burger was huge and delicious. The sushi boat was fresh, well made and oh sooo good! The oysters were also so fresh and sweet. For drinks, I would recommend the creamy espresso martini for all the martini enthusiasts. Our waiter, Frances, was very attentive, thorough and friendly. We will definitely be back and we’re bringing friends!!"

"We had dinner tonight at The Porch on Long Creek located just off Greatneck Road in the heart of Virginia Beach.
They were busy but we got lucky by walking in just as a couple got up to leave from their seats at the bar. This was the food bar overlooking the kitchen area. It’s the best show in town, watching all of the professional chefs do their thing!
Our server was Sabrina and she was prompt, courteous and friendly. She definitely made our night special. She several recommendations and we tried some of them (you can’t eat everything) every dish was a WINNER!
Our food came out quickly considering how busy they were tonight. The pictures do not do the food justice, everything was incredible! We are already planning our next visit here and hope Sabrina will be our server!"
