What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Vineyard Rose Restaurant offers a captivating ambiance, especially its serene vineyard setting and elegant interior. Diners frequently praise the knowledgeable staff and the excellent wine and cocktail selections. While many dishes are lauded for their taste and presentation, a few reviews mention inconsistencies in food quality, though the overall experience is highly recommended for its atmosphere and service.
"We drove from San Diego and it was a relaxing drive up.
This vineyard was epic!! Let me start with the ambiance—it was so serene. We sat at the bar while waiting for our food and the bartender was so knowledgeable on the wines and cocktails. We had the house white and red as well as the mango raspberry mimosa which was really amazing! The bartender let us try a Bloody Mary because my sister and I never had one—that was equally amazing.
If you’re going for the drinks you won’t be disappointed.
Now, the food: 😩😩🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽🥰
The food was aesthetically pleasing and enjoyable. My sister loved the salmon and I had the French toast and sausage which tasted great. The calamari makes you wanna slap yo momma! I haven’t had calamari that tasted this good since Italy.
The staff was very friendly and there’s also sooo many other vineyards at arms length."

"Drove in from Poway to this restaurant/winery. We had the BEST server in my 58 years of fine dining - Mark A. He NEVER interrupted our conversation as many servers do. He had PERFECT timing. He got a huge tip.
The food was absolutely over-the-top. The Bordeaux wine reduction sauce over the filet mignon was to-die-for. The salmon and the accompaniment around it was superb with the lima beans. Amazing.
The Focaccia bread with balsalmic dip was wonderful and welcomed. He brought a bottle of bubbly, which was corked and well served on refills.
The staff at this facility is top-notch. I suggest a booth on your reservation like we had. VERY comfortable (I don't like chairs).
I would definately return to this restaurant - and will."

"Friendly and welcoming from start to finish. Great brunch options and amazing wine list. First time here I enjoyed the Smoked Salmon Benedict on the terrace with the beautiful view. I later came back with a group and dined inside the elegant dime lit restaurant which gave a calm and intimate experience. This time around I had the Focaccia French Toast with a side of bacon."

South Coast Winery Resort & Spa Reviews & Prices
Set in Temecula wine country (about 65 miles north of San Diego and 90 miles southeast of Los Angeles), the South Coast Winery Resort & Spa's suites and villas are situated amid the vineyard's vines. With cozy hearths, spa tubs, balconies and no shared walls, South Coast Winery makes an ideal choice for couples looking for a secluded, peaceful escape. But it's not only the spacious accommodations that earn a thumbs-up from previous visitors: Guests who visit GrapeSeed Spa raise their (complimentary) glasses of wine to its heated saltwater pool and extensive treatment menu.
Top 19 Gluten-Free American Spots to Discover in Temecula
The place impresses with stunning drink presentations and delicious house-made desserts, but missing options may leave some diners wanting more. Came here for gluten free options, but they only take away sauces, which leaves you with a very plain dish. No gluten free bread option as should be expected at a high-end restaurant when bringing a bread bowl for others at the table.
What to Do in Temecula, CA
With a full itinerary planned for my visit, I began with dinner at the Vineyard Rose Restaurant at the South Coast winery. I’d heard good things about it, but the reports didn’t prepare me for just how wonderful it would be. Beginning with a dinner salad, rolls, and a glass of wine, I soon realized this wasn’t just your standard salad.
A Family-Friendly Quick Trip to Temecula Valley
The resort offers shuttle service to its nearby sister property, South Coast Winery Resort & Spa (southcoastwinery.com), where we slid into a corner booth at the Vineyard Rose. The dining space resembled a refined, outsize timber lodge with privacy between tables and a waitstaff that circulated attentively but without hovering.
