With its low-level lighting, soft, yet simple, decoration and carefully designed menu, it certainly delivers. In one form or another, Lambert’s has existed in Taos since 1989 though it currently resides in the beautiful building at 123 Bent Street, which was built in 1903.

Another highlight in contemporary dining is Lambert’s of Taos, which offers a sophisticated twist on classic dishes using local ingredients. An experienced staff and a dedication to local ingredients are keys to the restaurant’s success, according to manager Tom Rogers. Rogers, a onetime Lambert’s maitre d’ and waiter, moved into management after the Lamberts decided to take a break in 2008. Executive Chef Ky Quintanilla, a Zeke Lambert protégé, turns out many of the same recipes the Lamberts made popular, including the signature crusted loin of lamb with a red wine demiglace.

Lambert’s of Taos is located very close to the plaza in Taos and is a great place to have lunch. They have nice light indoor dining as well as a nice patio to enjoy one of their lovely salads or sandwiches. The village of Arroyo Seco is fun to check out on your trip to Taos and you can grab a quick fresh lunch at the famous Taos Cow or New Mexican fare at Abe’s.

Enjoy an intimate, upscale atmosphere with delicious American fare at Lambert’s of Taos. With a relaxed, yet refined setting, Lambert’s serves up distinct fresh and local dishes that are made fresh daily. Also, be sure to sample wine from their extensive wine list or try one of their crafty cocktails to complete your dining experience.

For a special dinner in Taos, it’s the Love Apple or Lambert’s. I can’t recommend Medley for reasons unrelated to their food. If you can’t get in at Lambert’s or the Love Apple, Aceq or Martyrs can be decent backup options that don’t always require a reservation - especially if you are willing to sit at the bar.

If you’re looking for an extra special dining experience, Lambert’s of Taos won’t disappoint. Located on Bent Avenue near Kit Carson Park, the charming restaurant has been a mainstay since 1989. A tree-shaded patio is a perfect spot for romantic alfresco dining under the stars (or twinkling fairy lights).

Taos has several “serious” restaurants we’ve returned to over the years, like Medley and Lamberts. Corner Office isn’t competing with these. Jori and Zak are committed to keeping their place casual, (their gregarious pet dog Waylon is a clue), first and foremost Taos’ only natural wine bar.

Based on several recommendations I tried and really enjoyed Lambert’s of Taos Restaurant & Bar at 123 Bent St. just north of the Plaza this is an excellent restaurant in historic house. They have a wonderful tree-shaded patio I had the perfect lamb burger for lunch and a great beet salad.

Lamberts of Taos – Visit Taos treated us to a meal at Lambert’s on our trip and I can honestly say it was everyone’s favorite meal of the trip… if not the year!. Everything was divine. Everything was perfectly cooked and everyone swooned over their pairings.

Lambert’s of Taos: (dinner only, res recommended) I have a special connection to Lambert’s because I worked in this historic building (when it was The Apple Tree) during my high school and college years. And they catered our wedding!. So many fun memories!.

Guests looking for a steakhouse with the best meat in town should head to the bright orange building downtown!. Lambert's offers a modern American meal with upscale flavors and atmosphere. Probably one of the finest dining establishments in town.

The Treehouse at Lambert’s Of Taos: Whether you’re sipping on a craft cocktail, wine, or beer, this is one of the best spots for happy hour in Taos. The bartenders are warm and friendly, the drinks are strong, and the bar food is really good.

Lamberts– next door to the historical Governor Bent house and Taos Plaza is Lambert’s of Taos, this contemporary American cuisine has a variety of sauces and bread made in-house, the juiciest steak in town and a top selection of wines.

Open for Happy hour and dinner 7 days a week Lambert’s of Taos creates a sanctuary where you will enjoy delicious food, wine and hand crafted cocktails. Cuisine is distinct, fresh and local whenever possible.

There’s a casual menu upstairs or at the bar, and formal seating downstairs. They have one vegan offering a night and it is so good. The food here is quite possibly the best in town.
