If the team behind Greek spot Psomi put on a musical, all of the lead roles would be wildly talented breads who could carry the whole show singing a capella. While that’s clearly not possible, the carbs here are excellent, especially at weekend brunch. There are stuffed pitas, honey-drenched loukoumades, solid everything bagels, and even a horiatiki salad that comes with a crusty baguette baked that morning.

Since debuting in 2019, Psomi (which translates to bread in Greek) rapidly became a breakfast and lunch hotspot. The coastal Mediterranean-styled eatery spans two outdoor patios, a coffee bar, spacious dining room, and onsite bakery. For entrees expect dishes like Chicken Souvlaki, Octopus Ceviche, and the Psomi Bagel Special (avocado, cucumber, shaved red onion, sprouts, whipped cream cheese).

For one of Tampa’s best brunches, head to this West Tampa Greek spot. ”The food, ambiance, and staff are incredible at Psomi,” says Ingram. “On any given Saturday, you will find me ordering the lamb burger – it’s packed with flavor and good to the last bite.

We know, we know, $100 could feed some families for a week—but if you’re gonna splurge, do it with a midday menagerie at this Michelin-approved Greek hotspot from Chef Christina Theofilos. Instead of a mimosa, try the Greek 75, which features an amber spirit called metaxa along with a honey syrup and a cava float.

Psomi is that warm, welcoming spot that makes you feel like you’re part of the family the second you walk in. It’s a Greek American bakery and cafe tucked into North Hyde Park, and everything here is so good. Their brunch menu is full of gems like Mama’s Baklava, Brioche Bread Pudding Muffins, and this baklava coffee cake that’s basically a hug in food form.

Opening in Tampa in late 2019, Psomi became an instant hit, introducing traditional Greek favorites to residents outside of Tarpon Springs. Whether it is sweet baklava, an herbaceous gyro or creamy tzatziki, Psomi is an expert at it all. With wide windows illuminating a bright, white interior, Psomi elicits scenery on a Greek isle during a hot afternoon.

With an array of Greek and Mediterranean choices, Psomi’s weekend brunch is a much needed change of pace after a hectic work week. The atmosphere: soothing and beautiful, the food: fresh and delicious, the staff: friendly and helpful. Start your day with a yogurt bowl, bagel special, or a Greek scramble — all top choices.

This Tampa spot focuses on Greek fare, and brunch is no exception. Inside, there’s a bakery serving up an assortment of pastries (get the sesame cookies, known as ladokoulouria) and coffee. For table-service brunch, you can choose to sit indoors or on one of the restaurant’s lovely (and shaded) patios.

Psomi is an experience focused on fresh food made with premium, local ingredients set amid a quintessential greek island ambiance. Their brunch includes amazing Greek donuts, avocado toast, and Greek custard stuffed French toast.

Tampa now has four Bib Gourmand restaurants: newly added Streetlight Taco in South Tampa, and repeat recipients; Rooster & the Till, Gorkhali Kitchen, and Psomi, which was recognized with the Best Young Chef Award in 2023.

Psomi is a full service restaurant, but they have take away and quick service at the front so I love to grab coffee and breakfast to enjoy on their front patio. Their Baklava Latte is my favorite coffee order!
