Mahogany Ridge Brewery & Grill is a casual but stylish venue which teams chef Jason Salisbury’s sophisticated pub grub-style eats alongside Mahogany Ridge’s award-winning beers brewed in-house. Try the signature ahi tuna ceviche appetizer with mandarin oranges, avocados, wasabi cream and wonton chips, or a range of ‘dipping entrées’ like elk sirloin and Caribbean jerk-spiced duck breast served with homemade sauces.

The fully-lift-served Mahogany Ridge brings a barrage of bump runs, aspen trees, and tighter glades that are barely even tree cut, making for some of the most natural-feeling slopes at the resort. But for those who can handle it, Fish Creek Canyon is the most exciting new piece of terrain at a Colorado ski resort in quite some time. This double-black terrain zone starts at a series of gates with some rather daunting warning signs; while not as truly extreme as some terrain at resorts like Crested Butte and Arapahoe Basin, the Fish Creek Canyon trails are no doubt experts only, with intensely steep gradients and distinctive fall lines with unique obstacles—including a rock garden if you can find it.

This microbrewery offers up a selection of small-batch brews, and as the cherry on top, also has a menu of artisan bites that perfectly complement their beverages. As a microbrewery, the beer menu rotates and changes, but you can always expect to find something ideal for the season, such as their Pumpkin Ale or Powdercat Porter. As the menu is diverse, you can find something for lighter tastes as well, and of course, there’s always something for IPA lovers!

One of our go-to restaurants in Steamboat is Mahogany Ridge, famous for its self-brewed craft beer and twisted pretzel with beer cheese dipping sauce. We highly recommend visiting Mahogany Ridge for their half-price happy hour deals and $1 tapas menu, which are perfect for sharing with friends and family. Although the vibe is a bit more upscale, don’t hesitate to bring the family with you to this restaurant.

There are several day lodges and restaurants on the mountain, where skiers and snowboards can stop for a quick bite between runs, or sit on the deck and enjoy the sunshine. For those skiers and snowboarders who can’t wait to get back into town after a long day, Geano’s Pizza at the base is a nice spot to grab a slice. In town, the Backcountry Delicatessen on the main Lincoln Street, makes tasty sandwiches.

You wouldn’t think it from the outside, but this downtown restaurant actually brews their own craft beverages inside their location at 5th and Lincoln. (If you’re biking the tour, head back downtown from the west side!) Mahogany Ridge Brewery offers a handful of original beers and a craft-brewed root beer. Take advantage of Happy Hour prices on food and beverages in the early afternoon or late evening.

The Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant serves infamous “limit 3” margaritas and laid back ambiance, while just down the street is Steamboat’s only microbrewery, Mahogany Ridge which offers live music on weekends, happy-hour specials and an array of tasty homemade beers on tap. Move and groove to live tunes at the Sweetwater Grill or the Boathouse Pub, right along side the Yampa River.

The Tap House and Old Town Pub will be open late and often have music, Carl's and Mahogany Ridge have great happy hours, and west of town be sure to stop and visit the new breweries, Butcherknife and Storm Peak.

While the resort is known for its family-friendly environment, Steamboat also offers incredible tree skiing and for those seeking a challenge, there’s even expert-level terrain in Mahogany Ridge.

Then head to Mountain Tap Brewery which features heated gondola seating on its popular patio. Top off your glass at Storm Peak Brewery with an extensive rotating selection of beers on tap.

For locally made beers: Mahogany Ridge Brewery and Mountain Tap Brewery, which specializes in wood-fired pizzas, too. The BARley rotates 30 taps below the main street.
