Those restaurants are operated by The Birchwood, which is located in St. Petersburg. The reason why they are doing it is they want to offset minimum wage increases and rising food costs.

The Canopy is Downtown St. Pete’s very own rooftop bar, and it doesn’t disappoint!. Sitting right on Beach Drive, you get waterfront views, private cabanas, fire pits, and hands down some of the best frosé I’ve ever had. If you’re out on a Wednesday, ladies’ night means half-off frosé—just saying.

This rooftop lounge on Bay View offers breathtaking views of Tampa Bay and the city skyline, making it a perfect spot for a romantic evening or a night out with girlfriends. They do have food but it can be pricey!. I like to stop in here for happy hour or after dinner drinks.

I almost don’t want to write about The Canopy because I want to keep it my secret. But this trendy rooftop bar has already exploded in business since the first time I visited. Located on the rooftop of The Birchwood, The Canopy is home to St. Pete’s best happy hour deal.

Though The Canopy is more of a bar than a restaurant, they do have food and you will definitely want to come here!. The rooftop view is one of the best in St. Pete and the drinks are to die for. I was especially impressed with the frose, which was so thirst-quenching.

Next door, the Birchwood hotel boasts the best view in town from its rooftop Canopy bar. During a lunch on the patio we caught a prime people watching seat when Charlie Crist declared his candidacy for Governor or Senate or… something… in Straub Park.

Downtown St. Pete – The rooftop bar, The Birchwood Canopy, will be offering a Sweetheart Package within the cabanas that includes 1 bottle of Mumm Champagne, charcuterie board, and chocolate-covered strawberries for a 2-hour reservation for $150.

Birchwood Canopy is one of my favorite rooftop bars because it has gorgeous views of the bay and the St. Pete Pier. Plus they have some tasty drink options!. The menu offers a selection of wine, beer, frozen drinks, & handcrafted cocktails.

Continue walking the same way you were heading (South) and your next stop is the open veranda rooftop bar called Canopy. It's on the top floor (5th floor) of a small boutique Hotel. Take the elevator up.
