Reviews Summary
Hurricane Seafood Restaurant is celebrated for its incredible rooftop sunset views and classic Florida beach bar vibe. Diners consistently praise dishes like the crab tots and grouper sandwiches, along with friendly service. However, some reviews mention dated decor and inconsistent food quality, with occasional complaints about blandness or overcooked items, though the prime location remains a significant draw.
"What isn't to love about this place? It's the classic Florida tropical beach bar vibe you have been looking for as a tourist or local alike. We LOVE the rooftop bar area as the views for sunset on Pass-a-grille beach are unmatched. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu, and they even have a few items for your dog you can order! So cute! The service is top notch and they offer many locally crafted beers or that well crafted tropical cocktail to pair with the state of relaxation you want to be in. You can have your special event here as well since they have multiple floors to rent out.
They thankfully survived the past hurricane season and are open! This is definitely one of our go to places when we are in this area!"

"We were going to another restaurant but it was carry out only and we didn’t want to sit outside so we came to this place and we were glad that we did so.
The food was delicious at this place!
I had bowl of clam chowder and grouper nuggets which were both delicious.
Then our son had crab cake plate which was really delicious (and very rich!). My wife had a bowl of lobster bisque which she really loved and we all shared lobster Mac and cheese which had good amount of lobster meat and since we couldn’t finish it, we took it back and ate it next day and it was still delicious reheated.
Only thing is our server was hard to find and we had to ask another server a couple times to get refill on our drinks and a check.
We’ll definitely come back to this place, though."

"We stopped by The Hurricane in Pass-a-Grille and had a great time. The crab tots were definitely the star—crispy, flavorful, and just the right amount of indulgent. Yum!
We also tried the Hurricane Burger. It was a bit undercooked for our taste, but still had a good flavor overall. Might just ask for it a little more done next time.
Our server was attentive and right on time with everything, which definitely added to the experience. We sat on the bottom-level porch outside, and while the view and vibe were nice, it was a little chilly—bring a light jacket if you’re planning to sit out there in the evening!
Overall, a solid spot with beach vibes. We’d come back, especially for those crab tots!"

Sunsets and Gulf views are the bait that hooks regulars as well as travelers who find their way to this somewhat hidden pit stop in historic Pass-a-Grille. Dating from 1977, it's mainly heralded as a watering hole where you can hoist a cold one while munching on one of the area's better grouper sandwiches. (Speaking of this sweet white fish, it's the real deal here, which—be warned—isn't always a guarantee in some restaurants.) There's also a range of seafood and steak entrées, and the crab cakes are legendary.
