Situated in a refurbished gas station (complete with still working gas pumps), The Station is a perfect grab-and-go option for breakfast and lunch, serving everything from organic coffee and baked goods, to bowls, salads, and sandwiches. We love the cherry almond scone that doesn’t skimp on fresh fruit, and the smoked salmon toast with herbed feta, pickled red onion, and a great everything bagel-style spice. If you’ve got time for a proper pit stop, the back patio awaits.

Joel Gott of nearby Gott's Roadside purchased a downtown gas station and kept the pumps humming, spiffing up the interior retro style and adding shaded outdoor seating. Start the day with quiche, a chipotle-bacon and egg biscuit, or avocado-and-egg or cinnamon-sugar toast, or drop by for lunch wraps, grain bowls, salads, focaccia, and sandwiches.

Winemaker Tony Biagi of Patria Wines, Amici Cellars and Hourglass Winery has lived in Napa Valley for more than three decades now, and says that Mustards Grill for lunch and Bouchon for dinner are his two favorites, along with The Station in St. Helena for lunch on the go.

Local food-wine entrepreneur Joel Gott (Gott’s Roadside, The Station St. Helena bakery cafe, the adjacent Pizza Station and Joel Gott Wines) had been using the expansive Cindy’s space as a commissary kitchen for his other operations. Bell, meanwhile, had been working with Thomas Keller at the French Laundry as a sous-chef for nearly 12 years and was ready to branch out on his own.

Alighted on the slopes of Spring Mountain, surrounded by oak forest and expansive views of the valley, Stony Hill Vineyard brings the drama. Inside, the 1951 mid-century manor does more than hold its own. Freshly reopened this summer after an extensive remodel, the house is a design magazine dream of authentic period furniture and accents.

The Station has all sorts of coffee drinks, teas, and breakfast goodies. Speaking from experience, the doughnuts are drool-worthy and the avocado toast is one of the best I’ve ever had. The bread they used to make this breakfast / brunch staple is thick and golden brown on the outside and soft on the inside.

Impossible to miss, this converted gas station is a nearby and worthwhile stop for breakfast, lunch or afternoon treat. Favorites include the “OG” Donut, Babka Morning Bun, Chipotle bacon and egg biscuit. We love their unique wraps and sandwiches made with free range chicken and house baked bread.

Another downtown favorite, The Station Bakery & Provisions is home to some delicious on-the-go breakfast options. They’ve got pastry, they’ve got donuts, they’ve got…pizza?. They offer breakfast options all day, but in the evening, this “gas station” is one of the best places to order pizza!

It resembled Gott’s a bit and sure enough we learned that Gott’s owner Joel Gott had just bought an old gas station and turned it into this new cafe. And you can still pump gas!

This gas station and grab n’ go offers fresh-baked goods, juices, an assortment of toasts and fresh salads. We love their Avocado toast.
