I guess you could say we became a little obsessed with The Kookaburra during out St. Augustine visit — I’m pretty sure we went there at least once a day!. The Australian coffee shop has multiple locations throughout the city; we frequented the downtown and beachside locations and both were fantastic. We quickly became addicted to the iced Mocha Nut latte, which has honey, cinnamon, and vanilla, and we became huge fans of The Kookaburra’s fantastic made-from-scratch Aussie pies.

The Kookaburra is a hip, Australian-inspired coffee house that opened its doors in 2012 at Cathedral Place. They offer a variety of specialty coffees, delectable baked goods, and their famous “Aussie Pies.” We know what you’re thinking, pies for breakfast?. But these pies are savory, and, although typically enjoyed for lunch, this café serves up several breakfast varieties stuffed with ingredients like bacon, egg, cheddar, and sweet potato, just to name a few.

Kookaburra's coffee is reason enough to visit this cafe, but if you can snag a seat by the bar window or preferably at one of the tables on the front steps (of which there are only two), you're in for an awesome treat. Cathedral Place and the square ahead is prime realty for some good people watching. Whether folks are demonstrating in the plaza, chilling on a trolley as it rolls by, or partying at Treasury on the Plaza, there are lots of people to see.

Out of all of the places to get coffee and a quick snack in St. Augustine, the Kookaburra is by far my favorite. I love to get an iced coconut milk latte with their vegan and gluten free pumpkin muffin. The Kookaburra has multiple locations located around St. Augustine, so whether you’re shopping down King St. or lounging on Anastasia Island, you’re sure to find something to munch on.

Finding decent coffee can be a challenge in certain parts of the US, so I was happy to be introduced to Kookaburra on my first day in Florida. They have four locations in St. Augustine, of which I visited the Beachside and Dondi venues. Both served up a cracking flat white, as well as all sorts of tasty iced coffees, pour-overs and other caffeinated concoctions.

St. Augustine’s favorite coffee shop is hands down The Kookaburra with three different locations in the area. This is an Australian spot with single-origin direct trade coffee. Here you can get coffee in any style from espressos to lattes to iced brews.

The Kookaburra is well known for its coffee, but they do also sell bakery items. The menu includes muffins, cookies, flavored breads, and baked Aussie pies. The vegan banana nut bread and the blueberry muffin are moist and enjoyable.

It’s not too big on the inside but customer service is great and the coffee is delicious!. I had the P.C which was delicious and I paired it with the gluten free vegan donut. Definitely worth stopping by to grab something to go.

For a good cup of coffee and homemade aussie pies stop at one of the three St. Augustine locations. They also have a Happy Hour where you can get half price beer, wine and any baked goods that still left from the morning.
