What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
O.C. White's offers a charming dining experience in a historic building with a popular outdoor seating area, often featuring live music. Diners rave about the authentic Southern seafood, particularly the shrimp and grits, and appetizers like the crab dip. While the atmosphere and many dishes are highly praised, some reviews note inconsistent service or overly seasoned dishes, suggesting ordering with care.
"View of the water. Food was really delicious. Live music. We dined outside up on the balcony which was really nice you could see the boats coming in. The shrimp and grits were delicious and so was the seafood platter. The mahi mahi was top notch as well as the crab cake. We had a crab dip as a starter and that was so yummy. Drinks were really good too. Definitely worth a stop to relax and dine."
Amy K (Phoenix)
"Was a cool windy night so ate indoors. Beautiful old home with large outdoor seating and live music for better weather. Good food and drinks, but server seemed a bit frazzled. I had the special seafood ravioli in a pesto sauce, partner had the coconut shrimp. We also both had the clam chowder and a drink each. All was delicious. Total before tip was $88. We walked there so unsure of parking options, might just be street parking?"
Lisa Darby
"The bruschetta was good, not great. Our waitress was friendly and love the outdoor seating area. The crab and spinach dip was delicious. Couldn't rate 5 stars due to the bruschetta but a very nice place to go!"

For starters, the building that the restaurant occupies has been in the city since the late 1700s, and has served (among other things) as a hotel, a wax museum, and a private residence. About 50 years ago, the building was moved, stone by stone, to where it now stands, more than a block away from its original location.
