The Beachcomber is very casual, if you have kids they have a large sand area they can play in while you enjoy a tropical cocktail. They offer great burgers, and sandwiches my favorite is The Big Fish Reuben made from the Catch of the Day!

Their “ruby red” shrimp were top notch (served with melted butter and cocktail sauce) as was their Cuban sandwich and fried alligator tails. Great drinks too – try their mule for a fresh and gingery treat with a kick.

You will find the Beachcomber right in the heart of St. Augustine Beach. Bucked against the Atlantic, this gorgeous little cottage restaurants may not offer the white-table luxury service of many St. Augustine evening dinners. But it is home to some of the best Cubans and other sandwiches in the city.

It was 11 AM and Beachcomber was on the way back to our resort. We strolled the sidewalk along A1A instead of the beach just to make sure we didn’t miss anything.
