Craft beers and the popular house-made sangria complement the zesty cuisine.

We have gone to the Bit and Spur before and had fairly good Mexican food, however the marguaritas were very good. I've seen mixed reviews on The Spotted Dog but I like the idea of small and intimate. We've never been to Zion Pizza and Pasta or Oscar's.

I liked the Pizza and Pasta place...I think it would be great for families. I'll never go back to the Mexican restaurant after my bf got food poisoning there...and what's with the lunchmeat in the burritos???

The Bit and Spur – This southwestern restaurant was right across the street from our hotel, and we were so excited to get some beautiful outdoor seating here. The restaurant itself has cooling sprayers that create a really fun atmosphere. There was a lawn area for the kids to play while waiting for the food to be ready as well.

Our favorite restaurant in Zion has been and always will be the Bit & Spur, a funky saloon with great Southwest art and Mexican fare. The best place to stay: the Cliffrose Lodge, but prices have spiked to the $400 and $500 range, due to the popularity of the area. (They say rates come back down to earth in the winter.)

The Bit & Spur Restaurant and Saloon’s menu focuses on Mexican and Southwestern flavors. Everything on the menu looks good, and I’d especially like to try the sweet potato tamales and the carne asada. They also have an excellent margarita menu!

Some great dining options for a late lunch/early dinner in Springdale include Oscar’s Café, Meme’s Café, Zion Pizza & Noodle Company, Bit & Spur, and Zion Brewery. After dinner, explore the town before hearing back to Open Sky.

Menu is well marked for gluten free and staff was knowledgeable. The kids menu was great for my kids, they got the pasta with noodles that looked great. Mango shrimp were good, as was the berry cobbler with ice cream.

Logan Hebner, a native of Delaware and a graduate of Vassar College, moved to Alta in the late 1970s and while there, discovered Zion. After he first saw it, he said he knew he was going to be back.
