Reviews Summary
Bit & Spur is praised for its delicious and flavorful Southwestern and Mexican-inspired cuisine, with generous portion sizes and excellent value. Diners love the unique dishes and the extensive selection of craft beers and margaritas. The vibrant atmosphere and friendly service are also highlights. However, some find the food to be more Anglo-American than authentic Mexican, and the restaurant can get quite busy and noisy during peak hours.
"Cute and clean restaurant with excellent Southwestern and Mexican choices. The food was delicious, with nice portions and great flavor. Service was excellent! (Thank you Abbey!) If I lived here, I would come here very regularly. You should definitely eat here when in Zion if you like Mexican food with a Southwestern flair."

"Very enjoyable dinner after a long day in an incredible setting in Springdale. If you like Mexican/Southwestern food with sprinkles of homemade influences, then this is your restaurant.
Service:
The waiting staff were informative, friendly and efficient. Received some great recommendations from the menu, very useful for those of us who aren't overly familiar with Mexican/SW food
Atmosphere:
This place gets very busy, very fast, and the noise levels shoot up quickly. It has a great energetic buzz with the waiting staff rushing about the restaurant keeping customers happy. We loved it, but it might not be ideal for someone seeking a quite retreat during dinner.
Food & Drinks:
From the enchiladas to the classic Mac & Cheese with a twist, everything ordered on the menu was was very tasty all round. Can highly recommend the homemade lemon & lime tart for dessert if you like a tangy but sweet combination. Finally, the cocktails were a popular choice for drinks throughout the restaurant - the watermelon margarita was out of this world tasty! Incredibly good value mocktails too."

"This is a wonderful Mexican-style restaurant. It has a fun vibes, happy and attentive staff, and serves wonderful food.
My favorite is the Wagyu Crunchy Tacos. They have a perfect ratio of meat to toppings, and the flavors explode in your mouth.
Another highlight is the swordfish tacos, that had all kind of flavors and textures going on, while keeping balance over everything.
Finally, this restaurant could not be in a better location. With outdoor seating, you dine beside the stunning mountain range of Zion National Park.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice meal in a nice location."

We have gone to the Bit and Spur before and had fairly good Mexican food, however the marguaritas were very good. I've seen mixed reviews on The Spotted Dog but I like the idea of small and intimate. We've never been to Zion Pizza and Pasta or Oscar's.

The Ultimate Zion National Park Travel Guide
The Greater Zion area, as it’s sometimes called, is the kind of place you could explore and enjoy for a lifetime, but if you only have a few extra days, consider carving out time to visit other public lands located nearby. Top of the list for most people is Bryce Canyon National Park, a sister park located about two hours northeast of Zion’s main entrance. Like Zion and the Grand Canyon, Bryce is part of the Grand Staircase, a massive geologic region defined by its colorful layers of sedimentary rock; but unlike the other parks, Bryce is absolutely brimming with hoodoos, fantastic towers caused by erosion.
