"My family and I visited Olivia’s Bistro about 2 wks ago while on a cruise and we were NOT disappointed! We had what we thought would be a simple burger and fries but let me tell you….there was nothing simple about either. The food was amazing! Never had such a delicious burger and fries ever. Our family would most definitely recommend Olivia’s to anyone who loves great food. And the staff were so kind and attentive.

Our solstice celebration and Fourth of July events are quite celebratory with Alaskans and Canadians enjoying the parade, the world’s largest egg toss, and parties well into the evening (my favorite hangout is Olivia’s Bistro with our garden view and fresh mint mojitos). September draws an international crowd for our well-known Klondike International Road Relay, a 10-leg, 100-mile relay through the night, starting in Skagway and ending in Whitehorse, Canada, with many runners sporting fun costumes!

Olivia’s is located in a former bordello which is now the Historic Skagway Hotel. We also stayed at this hotel, whose rooms are named after prostitutes and furnished in the gold rush time period. We had a very reasonably-priced meal consisting of very good cream of halibut soup, salad, a bottle of 2020 Hahn Pinot Noir from a very limited, low-markup wine list, and two of the three puff-pastry-encased entrees for the evening.
