Reviews Summary
Northern Lights Pizzeria offers a diverse menu with generous portions, appreciated by many for its unique Italian, Mexican, and other international flavors. While the food quality and friendly service are frequently highlighted, some diners have expressed concerns about the high prices and unexpected mandatory service fees, as well as occasional issues with food consistency. The restaurant's varied offerings make it a notable stop for those exploring Skagway, though value and transparency in pricing are points of contention for some.
"This place was surprising, the prices were a little high in my opinion but the food was good, I didn’t expect much when it came to Mexican food in Alaska but the Mexican food here was actually really good and the portions were large. The menu is diverse as well, one of us got a meatball sub while others got Mexican."

"My husband and I ate here when we were on an Alaskan cruise and we LOVED it. We were initially shocked by the prices, but pleasantly surprised with the taste and quality of the food. I got the a la carte halibut tacos (subbed corn tortillas instead of flour)—amazing! The coleslaw and whatever sauce they use was perfect. My husband got chicken Parmesan and he loved it. He said it might be the best he’s ever had, and he’s a chicken parm snob so that says a lot!
It’s also a great spot for people with shell fish allergies because they have so many options. AND there was no line out the door. We would definitely come back here."

"Don't be outraged about the mandatory 18% service fee for parties of 1 or more. Ignore the 3% credit card fee because of greed...what is truly appalling is the crimes against Mexican cusine. The beef tacos might be on par with Old El Paso or maybe they fall below that because it cost you $18+. The tortillas fall apart at the touch of your hand leaving a mess on your plate. Be prepared to channel George Costenza eating your tacos with a knife and fork - you'll look almost as odd as he did using those utensils to eat a KitKat. I would say stay away but the town is full of restaurants waiting to take advantage of cruise ship folk."
