What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Klondike Doughboy is a highly recommended stop in Skagway for its addictive fried dough, often described as a unique take on funnel cake or elephant ears. Diners praise the crispy exterior, fluffy interior, and perfect cinnamon-sugar coating. While lines can be long, the efficient service makes the wait worthwhile, and many find the large portions perfect for sharing.
"There was a long line outside this place and had to try it. We got 3 doughboys to share amongst 7 people and it was delicious. Tasted like a funnel cake without the powdered sugar but replaced with regular sugar with cinnamon. The wait wasn’t that long since it seems like they nailed their process of frying the dough, putting sugar on it then serving it. They also have souvenirs that you can buy. Def recommend as a pick me up snack."

"Delicious! Oh my such a delight. Price $8 - Light and warm with sweetness to match. The line was long but worth the wait.
They offer a small gift shop inside as well so make sure you take time to browse while enjoying your sugary treat.
They have a nice selection of gift items to purchase.
So glad we stop for a warm treat!!"

"The hype was real! The line was out the door but it moved fast. Nothing like some fried dough tossed in sugar and cinnamon to get your energy up. We really enjoyed them and definitely craved them days later 🤣. One is big enough to share between two people.
This is not like an elephant ear, though similar, the texture and taste was a little different. Give it a try while in town. Would pair up great with a coffee."
