"Delicious!
Adorable!
The people are so friendly, all the local photography for sale on the walls and up front are beautiful
Have the Monster Bagel, it's perfect!
I didn't purchase anything other than food while there in the morning and later in the day returned hoping to pickup some apparel......to discover that they close at 2 ! (Pretty normal for a breakfast/coffee/lunch place) But there was 2 people there mopping the floors and they were exceptionally kind and let me make my purchase 🥰 Thank You.
2 lessons:
1. never wait - if you want it, but it now.
2. Have the monster bagel"

"Wonderful experience here!! Great food, great coffee! Although four ships in town, and a line out the door, we were in and out if there in 45 minutes over lunch time. I had a turkey bacon ranch on ciabatta-delicious! My husband had the club wrap-delicious! The coffee drinks were the best we’ve had recently on our Alaska travels - I had an iced salted caramel latte 🤤"

"Warm, Whimsical, and Worth the Stop
I was up early, still on East Coast time, and wandered into Glacial Coffeehouse just as they were opening. What a find! Tucked away in downtown Skagway, this cozy spot had exactly what I needed—great coffee, a solid breakfast, and a welcoming vibe.
Their menu had an impressive variety of coffee drinks, breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and even some locally sourced items. I ordered an everything bagel sandwich with herb tomato cream cheese, egg, bacon, and onions—it was absolutely perfect. Fresh, flavorful, and made with care. I also grabbed a chocolate croissant, which was just the right balance of flaky and rich.
The seating area was charming, with a whimsical, almost vintage feel—lots of quirky signs, warm wood tones, and that perfect mix of ’60s and ’70s music playing in the background. It all made for a relaxing and memorable start to the day.
Whether you’re up early exploring or just stepping off a cruise ship, this place is absolutely worth a stop. The staff were incredibly friendly and made the whole experience feel like more than just grabbing breakfast—it felt like a pause to enjoy the moment."

Where to Eat in Skagway: 9 Top Picks in This Small Alaska Town
We all know – or at least I know and you’re about to – that Alaskans love their coffee. Anchorage ranks #9 for most coffee shops per capita of larger cities in the U.S., and Alaska as a whole ranks #2 (after Hawaii, funnily enough…). Therefore it is a fair expectation that Skagway has a good coffee shop, if only for the locals who need that infusion to enjoy long summer days and stay awake through short winter ones.
