Reviews Summary
Flamingo Lounge is celebrated for its unique retro atmosphere and creative craft cocktails, offering a fun speakeasy-style experience. Diners rave about standout dishes like the 'Bucket of Butt' halibut and tanner crab, with many appreciating the gluten-free options. While the food and ambiance receive high praise, some reviews mention the halibut entree being dry.
"What a fun and quirky place! The decor is so retro it feels like you've stepped back in time. The food menu is relatively limited, but everything they do, they do WELL. Everything we ordered was fabulous. The crab cake was sooo fresh. My only regret is that I got the 6 piece bucket of butt and not the 10 piece! The drinks are also very fun and creative- perfect match to the ambiance. Definitely a must try when visiting Seward!"

"Gluten free fried fish bites!!!
We found Flamingo Lounge on a gluten free app, and the reviews were right! Our server Spencer was friendly and happy to answer a few questions from us. The Bucket of Butt was incredible. The batter (coconut flour based) was perfectly seasoned and was fried to an impressive crisp in a dedicated fryer. My wife and I shared the 10 chunk bucket and added fries with it.
We also had a couple of their zero-proof drinks and both were surprising. Very refreshing.
Overall, this was one of the best GF meals I've had in years. Would highly recommend!"

"Has character and staff is really nice. We showed up on Memorial Day weekend at the height of dinner time and they let us grab a cocktail standing for a chance to sneak into a bar seat for food before the table could open (1 hour wait). Worked and food was great! Crab is good enough to stand alone so just hope when we're back they have a full crab entree!!"

For those looking to dine out, you must check out Salted Roots’ sister company, Flamingo Lounge, in downtown Seward. Not only does this place serve up some of the most delicious bites, steaks, and seafood, it’s also the town’s very first craft cocktail lounge, and it’s already known as one of the best places to get a craft cocktail in the entire state. Many of the drinks I sampled during my visit were Hawaii-inspired (and no, I don’t mean tiki), which warmed my heart and made me feel right at home.
