Reviews Summary

RockCreek Seafood & Spirits garners high praise for its creative and globally-inspired seafood dishes, particularly its fresh oysters and expertly prepared mains. Diners also rave about the thoughtful cocktails and cozy atmosphere, making it ideal for dates or celebrations. While generally excellent, some find the price point high, and a few reviews mention the noise level when busy.

"This place should be full from the start of happy hour to close every day. Stop scrolling and go here.

Let’s start with the food: the smoked trout salad is a sleeper hit—bright, flavorful, smoky, and beautifully balanced. The calamari is crisp and tender (no rubbery bites here), and the clams are briny perfection. If baked oysters are your thing, theirs are must-orders—savory, satisfying, and exactly what you want alongside a strong cocktail.

The cocktails themselves are thoughtfully crafted and seriously drinkable—an excellent excuse to settle in and stay awhile.

RockCreek delivers on everything you want from a seafood happy hour and a high-end seafood dinner experience. Come for the food, stay for the drinks, and leave very, very happy.

Go drink and be merry!"

"We came here for a business meeting. The location was very accommodating to our needs and gave us an amazing seat our on the private patio. All of the food had amazing flavor and was seasoned very well. Drinks were all on point and we had at least one server and two bussers helping us with our plates. Overall I would take my partner here for a nice date night. The food was on point and the atmosphere was very laid back."

"I like the kind of restaurant where the food is good and the atmosphere is casual. This is that kind of restaurant. We ordered the bread, clams, cauliflower, Bloody Mary oyster shooter, Vesuvio pasta, and Whole Grecian Branzino. Honestly everything was DELICIOUS. Surprisingly, the pasta was the Star (a unique mix of flavors that worked so well). Nothing was overly heavy, everything was healthful. Cocktails and wine also excellent. For dessert we ordered the key lime pie and apple beignets….yum!! P.s. thank you Caressa for the excellent service!!"

Where To Eat When Your Friends Want Oysters, But You Don’t - Seattle

RockCreek serves a bunch of different oysters from Washington and British Columbia on the half-shell as well as shooters involving ingredients like pineapple and Fresno chile. But all the fish dishes are excellent, whether it’s blackened yellowtail and grits to a whole roasted branzino. Even if you don’t want anything that comes from a body of water at all, the menu always has a couple of fresh pasta dishes and the cauliflower farro salad with pecorino is ridiculously good.

10 Best Brunch & Breakfast Places in Seattle

Since opening in 2013, RockCreek Seafood & Spirits has steadily climbed the ranks as one of Seattle’s swank brunch destinations. It's especially good on the last Sunday of the month during summer, when a DJ-driven hip hop brunch is in full swing. Brunch fare ranges from soft egg scramble to croque madame to bacon-and-oyster benedict, but the true winner is the caramelized apple and ricotta beignets drizzled with vanilla bean caramel anglaise.

**Assuming you’re looking to gather a crowd, RockCreek is one of my favorite spots for a birthday dinner, if you can reserve the sweet upstairs private room that seats about 12. Restaurants that are notoriously difficult to get into, like JuneBaby and Homer, also take reservations for groups bigger than about 6, so if you’re planning far enough in advance, birthdays are a great time to experience those awesome restaurants.
