What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Mamnoon offers a vibrant Middle Eastern dining experience with many dishes receiving high praise, especially the hummus and tasting menu. While the food is generally considered delicious and authentic, some reviews mention that the portions can be small for the price, and service has occasionally been slow or less attentive.
"I ordered the Tasting menu with wine pairing and it was well worth the price. I felt the food has so many layers of flavors and felt like they burst inside my mouth with freshness and that was just the appetizer. The main dish, lamb kabeb and Halibut, gave me one those rare experience where you cannot help but keep nodding and savoring every bite. Even something as simple as Syrian rice, was an inspiration. And the special garlic pita , if you have not tried it, you didn't know what good pita is. I have the late great Anthony Bourdain to thank to know about this restaurant."

"We stumbled into this place by accident. We were looking for dinner and a drink before a show at the Funhouse, and the pictures looked good in review. We were seat2d right away and greeted immediately by the server. Food was amazing. I gave the service the 3 only because they missed an item in our order and we had to take it to go because of time constraints. All In all the experience was fantastic and we will be back when we have more time."

"The four of us shared 4 share plates, two entrees, and a bottle of wine. All of the share plates were GREAT. I highly recommend the chicken dish for entree. It was juicy and a good balance of flavors. One caveat— the chicken dish was undercooked, which the server managed the situation well. I don’t recommend the NY steak. It’s a little dry.
Overall, great atmosphere, food, and service!"

Mamnoon and its more casual South Lake Union sibling Mamnoon Street serve upscale, bold, and perfectly seasoned Lebanese/Syrian food, including a selection of delicious, freshly baked flat and leavened breads. Mamnoon's $65 SRW menu for two is inspired by the business's upcoming Kirkland restaurant Hanoon and features za'atar roasted carrots, caramelized onion labneh, broccoli and freekeh salad, and chicken musakhan (sumac braised chicken), while Mamnoon Street's $35 dinner special comes with braised lamb neck, radish and marinated feta salad, and très leches namoura cake.
Where to Find Seattle's Top Middle Eastern Eats
It may be hard to believe there’s a serious Middle Eastern kitchen behind the sleek surfaces and throbby technopop of this modern cosmopolitan spot across from Melrose Market. But Mamnoon, which means “thankful” in Arabic, has an old soul. Dishes from Syria and Lebanon are built around bread: man’oushe flatbread that’s topped like pizza with spices and cheeses and meats, the lunchtime kulage sandwiches made with pita, unforgettably rich yet featherweight khobz bi fliefleh known as olive oil bread that’s slathered with fiery hot pepper paste.
12 Best Capitol Hill Restaurants in Seattle
One of our favorite Capitol Hill restaurants is Mamnoon, offering upscale Middle Eastern food that is vibrant with flavor. We love the mezze sampler, proving there is no better way to indulge in hot flatbread than having it slathered in hummus or muhammara—made of ground walnut, pepper paste, and pomegranate molasses. For an entree, we recommend the intensely juicy and flavorful chicken kebab served with Lebanese garlic sauce that will have you licking your plate clean.
Seattle's Best Middle Eastern Cuisine
Mamnoon’s much smaller, more casual sibling, this vegetarian juice shop holds much more than it gets credit for. Even when its South Lake Union neighbors have lines out the door, this adorable café seems forgotten—which is too bad, given the wealth of excellent dishes, such as the mujadara, with lentils and brown rice, or the cracked freekeh tabbouleh.
