Reviews Summary

La Cabaña is celebrated for its authentic Central American cuisine and generous portion sizes, offering a taste of home for many. While the vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff are often praised, some diners note that service can be slow and seating is tight. The food is consistently delicious, with pupusas and hearty soups highlighted as standouts, though a few dishes like the chicharron were not to everyone's liking.

"One of the best meals I’ve had in a while: authentic, rich, and full of soul. I’m not even a big meat eater, but the soup instantly reminded me of the kind my parents make back home. It felt like an unexpected connection to Mediterranean cuisine.

The food has that rare, homemade quality that really stays with you. If you don’t mind a lively space with loud pop Latin music, it’s a strong recommendation."

Nikos Pappas

"this place was really cool. all the food we had was very tasty and the other menu options seem really good, for this reason I had a difficult time picking as there were several things that I wanted to try. I chose a soup which came in an absolutely massive portion. the prices are about average for eating in seattle, however since the portion sizes are so big you can easily feed 2 or 3 people or take the food home and have a meal for yourself. overall the place had a fun, welcoming vibe and the service was lovely, I would definitely recommend this place!"

Haileypumpkineater

"I've been here several times and the food is always good! I've gotten different dishes and I haven't complained. The service could be better, sometimes you wait a while for them to come back to you. Hiring more waitresses would help solve this issue. Be mentally prepared to wait, as they have a steady line of customers! A gratitude tip is always added automatically unto your receipt, even for take out orders! Parking is limited and often full. I do not recommend the huevos con chorizo plate. I only had enough for 2 tacos, very disappointing!"

La Cabaña in Greenwood is Seattle’s undisputed champion of Central American food. This little roadside spot serves Honduran, Salvadoran, Costa Rican, Nicaraguan, and Guatemalan stuff, but it’s not just a busy catch-all. Their multi-cuisine lineup prioritizes quality as much as quantity—and where La Cabaña lacks in bells and whistles, they make up for in well-executed simplicity.
