Reviews Summary

FnB is widely praised for its innovative, vegetable-forward cuisine and excellent all-Arizona wine list, making it a standout dining destination. Guests frequently laud the creative dishes and attentive service, particularly on the charming patio. However, some reviews mention inconsistencies in food quality and value for certain dishes, with a few diners expressing disappointment with the overall experience.

"Excellent dinner with front of house staff that truly care about guests’ experience, and chefs that execute on the great vision of the menu. I had Brussels cooked until velvety tender that soaked up a creamy coconut curry sauce, topped with crunchy onions. Then had a lamb dumpling dish with tons of savory, spiced lamb flavor brightened and rounded out with fresh mint and cilantro, pomegranate and yogurt. Had very yummy labneh and berry ice cream they source from a local shop. Also had the bottled phony negroni, which was not as amazing as the food, but not bad. Highly recommend this restaurant for a good dining experience and enjoying food you can taste people care about making."

Stephanie Miezin

"Food was absolutely delicious. Waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped us pick what to get! The barrio bread was amazing! Highly recommend stopping in."

Nicholas Matranga

"Lovely spot in Scottsdale. Tucked away in a little courtyard, I sat on the patio and enjoyed the asparagus with tzatziki and the lamb dumplings. Both were light, perfectly balanced - in fact, just perfect. I finished off with their butterscotch pudding which is apparently a permanent fixture on the menu.
They also have great local wines, and the service was quick and attentive. This is great food and wine, so in my view it’s reasonably priced.
Thanks for a lovely evening, FnB. 😊✨"

Where to Eat, Stay, and Play in Scottsdale, Arizona

From her Old Town restaurant FnB, Charleen Badman changed the game for the Scottsdale dining scene when she picked up the 2019 James Beard Award for best chef in the Southwest, ending a 12-year losing streak for Arizona chefs. She’s been called a “veggie whisperer,” but she’s really more of a veggie cheerleader, transforming local produce—from dates and citrus to heirloom beans—into wildly creative dishes worth shouting about. Badman of course knows her way around meat and fish, but the move here is to focus on the top half of the menu and order—well, basically everything.
