Reviews Summary

Vic's On the River is lauded for its elegant atmosphere, stunning Savannah River views, and classic Southern cuisine. Diners frequently praise the attentive service and dishes like fried green tomatoes and shrimp and grits. While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, some mention that serving sizes can be small for the price, and a few have noted less impressive dishes like chicken and waffles.

"Our server was absolutely amazing! I went for my birthday and got the best service and amazing food! The salmon is an absolute must try and the sirloin burger is huge and delicious! The complimentary biscuits and honey butter are so delicious. I got a free chocolate torte for my birthday and it was so rich and smooth. I would definitely recommend coming here for any special occasions! Just a heads up that parties over 6 have an automatic 20% gratuity added."

Elena Gonzalez

"Went on a very busy night, they got us seated right away. The service was friendly. The views are amazing from the second floor. All the dishes were great BUT if you have to choose between Vic on the river vs down stair Vic’s on the grill the food is a step above on the grill. The RIVER restaurant has more of an upscale feel. Salmon was good and more pricy than down stair where the Salmon at the grill even had crab on top. Over all great restaurant you Will not regret eating here."

JJ Sullivan

"This place is great
The atmosphere is super nice and relaxing, with a beautiful view of the Savannah River. The staff were really friendly, and the food prices are pretty reasonable.
We tried a bunch of appetizers, she crab soup, calamari, beef carpaccio, and spicy shrimp and everything was spot on.
I had the short rib, which was tender, juicy, and full of flavor.
Definitely recommend this spot for a date, a business meal, or just any occasion. I’ll come back for more later"
