"Talk about stepping back in time. This tavern is the real deal. We had an excellent lunch here with great service from Kaitlyn. The fish/chips was excellent and super fresh. Stop in, it's worth your time for superb service and good food! :)"

"Friendly welcome when we walked in. Our waiter was very personable and knowledgeable about the menu. Salmon with peach sauce was a great combo. Amazing cheese grits without being greasy! Came with locally baked sourdough starter which was great. Son’s fries were seasoned well and not soggy. Plating isn’t elaborate but all of it was delicious. View of the river where you can see the cargo ships pass by. Easy walk from our hotel when we visited."
Dave
"Went here around 3pm to grab a late lunch. Instantly greeted by a very nice waitress. I originally wanted the pork sliders but they were out. I went with my second choice of fish and chips. The fish was light and flaky. Tasted fresh! The homemade tartar sauce delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone."
