Weekend brunch at State Street Eating House is a great stop after a Saturday farmer’s market. They have several weekly specials with their omelets, frittata, and benedicts but one of my favorites is their sweet potato pancakes. These pillowy pancakes have goat cheese butter, sliced toasted almonds, honey-covered blueberries, and fresh ground nutmeg.

This trendy hotspot has been racking up awards like “Best New Restaurant,” “Best Burger,” and “Best Cocktail” for a whopping 12 years in a row!. This place takes fresh, seasonal ingredients to a whole new level, with mouthwatering dishes like crispy skin salmon and Iberico pork. But the cocktails are the real stars here.

While all the places we tried were very good, our favorite stop was State Street Eating House + Cocktails. Niki, our bartender for the evening, did a fantastic job whipping up a classic or two and a house specialty for us. Like any respectable craft bar, State Street had home-grown cocktails aging in barrels.

State Street Eating House & Cocktails is a Napa Valley inspired cocktail experience in a dark, masculine setting. The interior is beautifully furnished with leather pieces and dark wood bookshelves – creating a “hunter’s lodge” type feel. We love this setting for birthday parties for the guys in your life!

This restaurant still has the original walls, rafters, and everything in between that still leaves the urban feel and greenery.

Stepping into State Street Eating House + Cocktails is like taking a trip back in the time. This retro eatery, well-known for its gastronomic delights, also shakes up some fabulous drinks. The 'Ahoy Matey', with its clever fusion of Sailor Jerry spiced rum, ginger beer, and lime, is a crowd-pleaser.
