A tropical getaway located on Bayfront Park in the shadows of downtown Sarasota’s condo canyons, O’Leary’s is the charmingly casual and funky tiki bar and sister restaurant of Marina Jack. Open daily starting at 8 a.m., you can’t really go wrong pairing one of their burgers (blue cheese and bacon, swiss and mushroom, bacon and cheese, “The Works” with mushrooms, bacon and cheese or a vegetarian burger) with one of their margaritas while enjoying one of the daily live music acts; which might just be doing one of those Jimmy Buffett songs about cheeseburgers in paradise or wastin’ away again with a margarita or three.

Located right on Bayfront Park by sister restaurant Marina Jack, O’Leary’s provides a most-welcome tropical retreat from bustling downtown Sarasota, located basically right across the road. Enjoy a margarita and cheeseburger while one of the local singers plays a familiar song — yes, maybe one of those Jimmy Buffett ones — and survey beautiful Sarasota Bay, dotted with moored sailboats occupied by folks who have likely quit the rat race. Pro tip: The ice cold $3 Bud Light drafts at the tiki bar are definitely one of the better deals around, at least for waterfront drinking.

The tables sit right on the sand, and the fresh air and beautiful views of the bay are just steps away. Sip on a frozen drink, and indulge in a specialty burger as your little ones nibble on chicken fingers, fish fingers, fried clams, and hot dogs – all perfectly portioned for junior-sized appetites.

Based on the beach, O’Leary’s Tiki Bar offers a casual tropical-themed haven with open-air seating and an inviting atmosphere. O’Leary’s is one of my favorite spots in downtown Sarasota- it’s right on the bay front and has great drinks and live music. I love this location because it’s right in the sand- it’s one of our go-to spots when we want to take Basil to the “beach”!. This is the perfect spot to start (or end!) your evening downtown with a drink (especially beacuse you can park at the Bayfront Park and Marina for free!).

This local spot is perfect for those wanting to enjoy the ocean view in a relaxed atmosphere. With live entertainment daily, delicious tropical drinks, fairly priced tasty food and a play area nearby at Bayfront Park for the kiddos, the whole family is in for a good time!. Nestled beneath the towering condo buildings of downtown Sarasota, O’Leary’s offers a tropical escape and serves as the laid-back beachy sibling to the nearby Marina Jack. This delightful establishment is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, providing a variety of options to satisfy your cravings.

O’Leary’s Tiki Bar & Grill may be the most popular tiki bar in Sarasota. Located downtown adjacent to the marina and Bayfront Park, O’Leary’s offers panoramic water views of the mooring field and a sunset unlike any other. Watch the boats drift past and disappear under the John Ringling Bridge while listening to soothing troprock music as the sand squishes underfoot.

Last, but not at all least is Oleary’s Tiki Bar & Grill, which I highly recommend visiting for the atmosphere alone!. This beachy spot is right on the water and you can even dine with your toes in the sand and a thatch umbrella above you. With a full bar, you at least have to come for a drink, but I found the Blackened Mahi Sandwich to really hit the spot as well.

O’Leary’s Tiki Bar in downtown Sarasota is one of my favorite Sarasota restaurants on the waterfront for grabbing a margarita and watching the sunset. It’s located right in Marina Jack park so you can get in a walk around the park while you’re there. The restaurant and tiki bar has a full food menu as well as solid cocktails like margaritas, mojitos and mudslides.

This downtown spot is located in Bayfront Park (A great walking spot for you and your pup!) and is the only place in downtown Sarasota where you can get a drink on the beach. They serve beer, wine, and cocktails, and also offer a menu consisting of seafood and typical bar far, in addition to some very Floridian twists like fried alligator bites.

A popular destination for visitors and locals, Oleary’s is located right on Sarasota Bay, and it is pretty much like eating on a tropical island. It features a large outdoor bar and also plenty of seating with tables and umbrellas. It lies next to the marina and the whole setting is outdoors to help enjoy the cool breezes from the bay.

This place will make you feel like you crash-landed on a private tropical island in the Caribbean. With fun decor and a great vibe, this place is perfect if you’re looking for an experience with your meal, especially when you come on a night that they have live music!. We love the Gator, Mahi Fish Tacos, and Popcorn shrimp from here.

This is the only place in downtown Sarasota where you can get a drink on the beach; plus, it’s near Bayfront Park, where you and your dog can enjoy a nice stroll. Seafood and standard bar fare are available, along with some uniquely Floridian touches like fried alligator bites, in addition to beer, wine, and cocktails.

As a parent with really young kids, I know how impossible it can feel to enjoy eating at a restaurant. This waterfront restaurant is open-air with a great view and a low-key casual vibe. The best part is that some of the seating is on sugary-soft sand where kids can run and play while you wait for your food.

Next stop, O’Learys Tiki Bar and Grill, located right on the water off of Bayfront Drive. O’Leary’s opens at 8AM for breakfast and is open until 10 during the week and 11PM on weekends. The have live music each and every night and is really a must visit when looking for a casual waterfront experience!.

O’Leary’s is one of the best Sarasota restaurants on the water. It’s also 5 minutes from downtown. There’s a tiki hut with a live band playing, a separate tiki bar that offers draft beers and cocktails, picnic tables with outdoor seating and air conditioned indoor seating.

This fun spot offers some of the best tropical cocktails in town along with classic food options like burgers, fried fish, and delicious sandwiches. Plus, it’s conveniently located nearby Bayfront Park in downtown, so you can go explore the city after your meal!

Consider O’Leary’s Tiki Bar and Grill on the Bayfront for a toes-in-the-sand cocktail or casual meal. The laid-back place reminds me of a Jimmy Buffet song. Marina Jack, also on the Bayfront, becomes the place to watch boaters come in and out of the harbor.

O’Leary’s Tiki Bar This is a daytime bar spot but if you’re not drinking in the day Did you even go to Florida?. Imported sand palms and tiki bar in the park on the Bay of Ringling Blvd. The poor man’s Caribbean but a great way to kill a Tuesday.
