Reviews Summary

Diners love Tune-Up Cafe for its consistently good food with creative twists and its welcoming, cozy atmosphere. Many highlight the value, the inventive specials, and the delicious desserts. However, some reviews mention inconsistency in flavor for certain dishes and occasional slow service during busy periods.

"A very nice and cozy place. With food out of this world with different flavors and textures I have never hade before. With it not being a bad price with the consideration that we got appetizers, drinks, as well as dessert with wonderful service."

Kenneth Lee

"This is a super cute little place! Super friendly staff and delicious pies and cakes. Some of our food was absolutely delicious but others were lacking. The Greek salad with chicken was super fresh and delicious but for the added price it had very little chicken. The lamb burger was my favorite and had lots of flavor, was cooked perfectly and perfectly yummy. I got beans on the side and these beans are so special, the flavor is so different. The disappointing meal was the hamburger with fries. There was no flavor, it was overcooked and had no salt. The fries also had no salt. We got a piece of blueberry pie, a piece of chocolate pie and a piece of tree leches. All three were absolutely delicious."

Daniela Azul

"WOW!! Reddit did not lie, this was one of the best restaurants we visited in New Mexico. Definitely try the specials. I got the Red Fettuccine, which I've never heard of the before. Like regular Fettuccine Alfredo, but honestly?? SO much better. Definitely try this place, and get a piece of one of their AMAZING pies and cakes when you leave!"

If you need a break from the green chile, Back Road is a locals’ favorite pizza joint, Rowley Farmhouse Ales has big burgers and award-winning saisons, and the newish Tumbleroot Brewery and Distillery is a great place to catch live music. Lunch Spots Where the Locals Eat

A few blocks down Paseo de Peralta from the Railyard District, across busy St. Francis Boulevard, the street changes names to Hickox Street, and the ambiance goes bohemian—there’s a liquor store, a Tibetan Buddhist Center, a few artist spaces, and a neighborhood of funky bungalows. Tune-Up Café is ground zero for youngish locals, although the friendly staff welcomes everyone as if they were friends. Christmas lights outside, a lively outdoor patio, and delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner make this a hangout where you can dine extremely well.

Went to this place because the website indicated it had gluten-free items. However, because I am not only gluten intolerant, but also allergic to many other ingredients such as peppers, I was down to two items that I could order according to the waiter whom was very impatient and rude. I ordered the hamburger which was one of the items he suggested.
