What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Cafe Pasqual's is celebrated for its vibrant atmosphere and creative Southwestern fusion cuisine, with many diners praising the use of fresh, organic ingredients and unique dishes. However, some visitors find the prices to be high for the portion sizes, and occasionally mention service inconsistencies.
"I had an excellent experience in this beautiful cafe. There were so many delicious vegetarian options for me. I tried the breakfast burrito, huevos rancheros, and the blintzes and can highly recommend all of these. Their mole is also delicious. We ended our meal with a selection of cookies that were so tasty. I especially liked the almond cookie. The staff were kind and welcoming. Service was quick. There might be a bit of a wait when it’s busy but believe me it’s worth it! This place is a rare gem!"

"Was recommended by a friend and also had great reviews. Did take a bit to get seated. Inside is very charming. You can also sit at a shared table, for faster seating. We ordered the Corn Rounds as an Appetizer. Even though it was delicious, was very small for the price. Didn't even seem like a full ear of corn. We also had the potato cake and the chicken sandwich. Both were very tasty! They do not offer Coke/Pepsi products, just so you know. Would definitely go back when in town!"

"Incredible Mexican/New Mexico cuisine. The atmosphere is very southeastern. The menu has many delicious sounding options. Don’t ask for chips and salsa, not that type of restaurant. The wait on a Monday afternoon was almost an hour. The service kept us updated on our food so we didn’t feel like we were forgot. The trip to the restrooms in a tight squeeze. Best place on the visit for food and drinks. They also have this community table which might be an interesting experience if you like meeting people."

Cafe Pasqual’s has been open for over 40 years, and is quintessential Land of Enchantment: Colorful papel picado hang from wall to wall, chile ristras dangle above heads, and folk art paintings are spread throughout the dining room. That’s when the dining room is quieter and you can appreciate all the colorful details jazzed up with natural light.
I spent a long weekend in this trending Southwestern city—and here’s why you should go in the fall
The next morning, I packed up my things, checked out and wandered around the Plaza alone, hoping to catch some of the first Native American artisans who sell their wares in the area every weekend. Though I wasn’t super hungry, I decided to grab a (quite pricey) breakfast at Cafe Pasqual’s, a James Beard award-winning all-day restaurant. As a solo diner, I was sat immediately at the community table, but the rest of the narrow dining room was full.
