What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Spitz is praised for its fresh, healthy Mediterranean-inspired dishes, particularly the Döner baskets and loaded fries. Diners highlight the flavorful meats, vibrant ingredients, and unique atmosphere. However, there are concerns about food allergy handling and occasional inconsistencies in dish preparation.
"Came here for what I thought be something similar to Greek food and got something completely different and amazing! I got the Döner basket and it was not like anything I’ve ever eaten. Absolutely giant portions, only come here if you’re starving because good luck finishing this thing. So many different ingredients and flavors made it super fun and interesting to eat, highly recommend! 🧺"

"Beef and lamb wrap was good and the bowl was good too. Would get both again. The wrap needed a little bit more sauce and the meat was heavier in one side (perfect amount of meat) while the other side was lacking. Service was fantastic and the atmosphere is great here. Small little place suited for smaller groups. The falafel is pretty good here but not great. The sauces they have are great. The fries are great, both sweet potato and regular. Overall, a solid place to visit."

"The food is super good. I got the gyro it has fries in it, it looks dry in the picture, but it definitely has plenty of sauce. I'm only here for a week but I think I'll be revisiting here again before I head back to Texas. We got the street cart loaded fries as well. They were unbelievably good."

Best Gyros in SLC 2024
Not quite a gyro and honestly, not quite a doner kebab – it’s somewhere in the middle; let’s call it a Mediterranean flavor inspired gyro. The meat component to this wrap is a little stingy compared to others on this list, but the addition of lost of bright and vibrant toppings makes it an interesting change of pace if your tapped out on regular gyros. Very popular, no drive thus.
