We are glad we took him up on his suggestion - Spitz is a great spot if you like mediterranean-influenced street food, but with an air-conditioned cute hipster vibe and a beer and wine license.

Spitz (Sugar House, Downtown): If you’re looking for some delicious and healthy food to enjoy with your dog, Spitz is the place for you. The mediterainian restaurant has a dogs-welcome patio.

We love the casual atmosphere, patio in the summer and the fresh and flavorful food. Order the Doner basket for a taste of everything. It is served in a bread pan and loaded with goodness.
