"This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had anywhere. The service was exceptional, the food flavorful and the cozy seating area perfect for a late lunch. The lemonade is a must have and get yourself an order of the za’atar fries with whatever else you order. You will not be disappointed."
Tara Rowe
"I took my husband on a date here for Father’s Day and the atmosphere was amazing. Our server was so nice and gave us a complimentary baklava after our meal. The food was so great! Everything was lovely and super filling. Definitely our favorite new restaurant!"
Lucy
"Ordered a bunch of things at Laziz. First off, was disappointed to hear it is no longer Lebanese owned, I felt like it lost its authenticity.
Lemonade was ok, not too minty and don’t love the orange blossom.
Hummus - not authentic
Muhammara - not authentic
Labor - not authentic
They were tasty nonetheless.
Kibbeh was super large and delicious, enjoyed it very much.
Halloumi was tasty but served room temp, felt like it was reheated. The red paste that came with it was delicious but on its own.
The salad was ok with the chicken a bit flavorless, wasn’t authentic at all.
Shakshuka had an excellent sauce but I would prefer the egg white to be a bit firmer as it was too gooey for my liking."

Restaurants in Salt Lake City
Run by a friendly husband-and-husband team who began with a hummus stand at the farmers' market, Laziz has grown into an outstanding full-service Lebanese restaurant in the burgeoning Granary District, with a cheerfully hip plant-filled dining room and street-side terrace. The most delicious strategy here is to make a feast of a selection of small plates: spiced labneh, eggplant baba ghanoush, grilled Halloumi cheese, kibbeh, fried cauliflower with garlic-cilantro pesto, red-wine-braised lamb shank, and maybe a kafta burger or two. The short but excellent wine list features several Lebanese bottles.

Chef/owner Moudi Sbeity serves classics like Shakshouka but also deftly corners Lebanese flavors into more American dishes like the classic breakfast or a burger. Case in point: the Kafta Burger topped with sundried tomato, Akawi cheese, and cabbage pickled in-house.
