Reviews Summary
W.A. Frost & Company is celebrated for its stunning historic ambiance and beautiful outdoor patio, making it a top choice for special occasions and romantic dinners. Diners frequently praise the attentive service and the exquisite wine selection. However, some guests have experienced significant wait times, and a few found certain dishes, like the pesto pasta or prime rib sandwich, to be disappointing given the price point.
"We had a great time celebrating our 5 year anniversary last night! One of the few restaurants you can reserve a table on the patio. Service was impeccable, food was amazing. We ordered oysters, spinach artichoke dip, ahi tuna nachos, and scallops with cantaloupe soup and citrus salsa. Would order everything again in a heart beat. We'll definitely be back!"

"Amazing place! Indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outdoors and it was so beautiful. Trees and flowers galore! Service was great with solid recommendations, drinks were good, and food was delicious. Can't ask for much more! We explored the inside and it was so cool! It's a registered historical site. Beautiful spot."

"My friends and I didn’t know about W.A. Frost before walking through the doors and now do not think we could have had a dining experience as exquisite as we had for my graduation celebration. The appetizers, main courses and deserts offer options for even the most particular palates. The environment and arrangement of the restaurant accommodated my daughter’s wheelchair, which is huge plus when it comes to visiting any new space. The service staff at this restaurant is the best that I’ve experienced anywhere, because they felt more like friends who just invited you over to a beautiful dinner they were hosting. Thank you Pedro and Bryan! This space was extremely welcoming and I can’t wait until I visit St. Paul again to stop in."

Why Selby Avenue boasts the Twin Cities' best patios
Along Selby, beginning west of Boyd Park: an intimate, elegant patio is tucked behind Moscow on the Hill; across the street, a lush multi-level patio lays behind W.A. Frost (in my opinion, the crown jewel of the bunch); a pair of “newcomer” patios sit kitty-corner to each other at Handsome Hog and Red Cow, each with views of the sidewalk; a block west, the intimate patio at La Grolla is almost hidden between two historic buildings; a few doors farther down, the The Gnome patio sprawls around its historic restaurant; and finally, a gem of a patio sits behind Revival just past Mackubin Street.

It's home to some of our favorite restaurants, like Moscow on the Hill, W.A. Frost and Company, Ghebre's, Cossetta, and Grand Ole Creamery.
