"Took my wife here for our 14 year anniversary, first time here.
I wanted to surprise my wife with a bouquet on the table as we arrived and the granted my wish.
Dinner was impeccable, you can tell they work so hard to put things together the layers of flavors, textures, aromatics, and presentation were on point every time.
Our server Nikki was attentive, polite and patient.
We enjoyed every bit of our dinner outing.
We will be coming back for sure."

"The Caesar salad at this restaurant is among the best in St. Louis, making it a standout dish on their menu. From the moment we stepped inside, the level of service was truly remarkable. A lovely lady greeted us with a big smile, instantly setting a warm and welcoming tone for our visit.
Throughout the evening, a courteous gentleman served us with professionalism and attentiveness. His anticipation of our needs made for a smooth and satisfying dining experience.
Whether you're planning a special night out or a family dinner (we brought our 4-year-old girl), this restaurant's inviting atmosphere and exceptional service make it an ideal choice. I wholeheartedly recommend giving it a try!"

"It gives casually upscale. Service is immaculate. You can tell the servers know the menu and speak from genuinely liking the food they are selling. A must get are the lobster turnovers and the corn fritters! I love the dinner rolls they are more like dessert since they favor beignets. Everything was fresh and lite. I don’t think you can go wrong with anything here."

One of the most important and influential chefs in St. Louis, Nashan was utilizing seasonal, local ingredients before it became part of the fine-dining constitution. The Chef’s tasting menu is especially complex and mature but has playful and clever elements as well.
Ian Froeb's STL 100: Our critic's 2022 guide to the best restaurants in St. Louis
Dining at Sidney Street Cafe for the first time in two years, I found the menu of Kevin Nashan’s acclaimed, beloved Benton Park restaurant reassuringly familiar and surprisingly, appealingly looser than usual. There were classic dishes (lobster turnovers in crackling phyllo with a tomato-brandy reduction) and expected modern fare (hamachi crudo, though here unexpectedly paired with popcorn). But beyond the signature selection of appetizers presented on a tabletop chalkboard, there were both artfully plated main courses and an assortment of a-la-carte options.
