The whole meal was amazing at Polite Society. Something for everybody. But the kicker was the Famous Barr originally recipe for French Onion Soup. I’ve never had French onion soup THIS GOOD. #stl #314 #stlouis #missouri #famousbarr #frenchonionsoup

Reviews Summary

Polite Society is a stylish restaurant praised for its creative seasonal dishes, especially during brunch, and its warm, inviting atmosphere. While many enjoy the attentive service and delightful food, some diners note issues with consistency in food preparation and occasional noise levels, alongside concerns about value for certain dishes.

"This place is phenomenal! Highly recommend the chicken and waffles, the spice level was well balanced! The biscuits and gravy and the shrimp and grits were all great as well. The bottomless mimosas were also a hit."

Caleb Heiar

"This was our first visit to Polite Society for brunch. We were celebrating a birthday. The service was attentive and polite as you may expect. Two people ordered the bottomless mimosas which didn't seem to taste like they had much orange juice. Two of us ordered the vegetable omelet. The portions are large. The potatoes were really good but the omelet lacked flavor...even with grilled vegetables inside. The cold brew coffee was definitely strong but the taste was "off". One person ordered the chicken and waffles which seemed to have the best flavor of any of our selections. I think the service was the best of anything considering we had a party of six. The atmosphere is pleasant. Overall we enjoyed the experience of trying something new."

Mischa Perez

"We really enjoyed the food here! We went around 10am on Sunday so the restaurant was fully booked but we got a seat at the bar. It was a lot of dirty plates and drinks stacked next to me being on the end and it seemed to be there area where staff congregated to talk which was a little distracting. But would definitely go again, the food was fantastic. I guess I would recommend a reservation if you plan to go during peak brunch times - there was not even an option for wait, just full besides the bar."
