What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Cinder House is lauded for its breathtaking views of the St. Louis skyline and the Gateway Arch, complemented by a sophisticated ambiance and warm hospitality, making it ideal for special occasions. Diners rave about wood-fired specialties like lamb ribs and scallops, and the elegant decor. However, some guests have found the brunch menu limited and items not always fresh, with occasional feedback that some dishes lacked flavor depth for the price.
"These folks are not messing around with their wood fired masterpieces! The lamb ribs are out of control, the hen of the woods mushrooms are one of the more satisfying meatless options you could ever have and the scallops were cooked to perfection and full of fresh/bright flavors. Don’t sleep on dessert-the chocotorta with the espresso is the perfect ending. Between the view and the food you cannot go wrong."

"The ambiance , space , view and vibe was to noch. However, I was not impressed by the food at brunch. We went on a Saturday and there was hardly anyone there. The menu is limited and it was apparent that the bread and all you can eat charcuterie items had been sitting out for a while and needed to be refreshed [ie. The cheese was turning hard around the edges and danishes were stale]. A few of my colleagues ordered a la cart meals and those were fine but still overpriced in my opinion. The bartender was nice and helpful."

"My partner and I celebrated our anniversary at this restaurant and it was truly a memorable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the warm and welcoming staff who immediately made us feel at home. The positive energy of the people there really added to the overall ambiance of the restaurant.
We were seated promptly and our server was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Not only did he make great recommendations from the menu, but he also went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was exceptional.
The food itself was fantastic - every dish was beautifully presented and delicious, and it was clear that the chefs put a lot of care and attention into each plate.
Overall, we had an amazing time at this restaurant and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special dining experience. The combination of good staff, warm welcoming, and positive people truly made our anniversary celebration even more special. We can't wait to come back again!"

Architectural Digest recently named it the most beautiful bar in Missouri. It could be a plain white box, however, and earn that distinction based on the view alone: Occupying the hotel's eighth floor, Cinder House has a southern-facing, bird's eye view of the Arch. It's one of the best views in the city. When the sun goes down, light sparkles off the windows. As you look out across the outdoor patio's glittering fire and water features, you feel like you are in a diamond-encrusted dream.
