Normally, you don’t go to a museum for stomach-related reasons. But Eleven at Crystal Bridges’s American food is just as exciting as its collection of iconic American art. Unless, of course, you’re not interested in eating grilled cheese in the wood-vaulted entrance hall, with bowed glass walls overlooking the forest and courtyard ponds.

Located at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, Eleven feels like a continuation of the artwork on display. Inside the stunning setting, diners can enjoy locally sourced ingredients and beautifully plated dishes that might remind you of something your grandparents used to cook. The fried bologna panini, a favorite among guests and staff, boasts thinly sliced, caramelized craft bologna and piccalilli, a relish from the U.K.

Eleven is located inside the Crystal Bridges Museum and it's a gorgeous space with arched ceilings and soaring windows overlooking the museum's ponds and forests. During the day, Eleven is a quick-service restaurant and at dinner, the menu totally changes and is a more fine dining sit-down service restaurant. Try the Vietnamese Noodle Salad for lunch or the Braised Short Rib for dinner.

Brides seeking a more relaxed yet contemporary location will find lots to love in the museum's restaurant Eleven. Black leather chairs and tables draped in white linen will allow for up to 250 people. In the center of the room hangs famed American artist Jeff Koon’s Hanging Heart, an appropriate piece for your venue of choice.

The grounds encompass many notable features, including Crystal Spring, which gives this museum its name; a glass-enclosed bridge; a restaurant, Eleven; a coffee bar featuring beans from local roastery Onyx Coffee Lab; a library containing more than 50,000 reference volumes; and about 5 miles of nature trails.

If you don’t want to go far, Eleven is the museum’s onsite restaurant and coffee shop. It has menu items like burgers, paninis, and flatbreads. In downtown Bentonville, Pressroom is a favorite lunch spot, serving soups, sandwiches, and local vegetable dishes.

Situated inside Crystal Bridges Museum Of American Art, high-ceiling, dramatically arched Eleven is one of the best restaurants in Bentonville for its views alone. The seats overlook the water-top curves of Moshe Safdie’s architectural masterpiece.

The museum showcases a diverse range of works, including permanent collections and temporary exhibits, along with a Museum Store, a restaurant named Eleven, a Coffee Bar, a restored Frank Lloyd Wright house, and a library.

There is also a very good restaurant in the museum, Eleven, that features a lot of fresh dining options, a bar serving wine and beer, and a coffee bar. I enjoyed the Ozark Banh Mi sandwhich which was deliciously messy.
