Reviews Summary
Guasaca South American Grill is praised for its fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned arepas and bowls, offering great value. Diners appreciate the vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff. However, some reviews mention issues with cleanliness and overly salty or vinegary seasoning in certain dishes.
"Delicious, fast, fresh food! We ordered the shredded chicken arepas and a custom bowl with brown rice, shredded chicken, black beans, corn, guacamole, sour cream, and cheese. Everything was so flavorful and filling, and the service was excellent. This is a great spot if you want a quick and delicious bite to eat!"

"Wow, what a huge disappointment! I ordered the chicken fajita bowl. It made me wish so badly that I had ordered from Chipotle 😭. The good: rice, lettuce was fresh, and the cilantro sauce was delicious. The ok: chicken and beans. The awful: the sautéed onions had a four day salt intake dumped into them-yikes!! The plantains tasted like they had vinegar on them. Why? Not to my taste, personally. Overall mixed together I truly couldn’t eat even half of it, although I tried…"

"It was amazing! We had the chicken fajita bowl and chicken tender arepa. They were both delicious! We are excited to go back and try more things."

Guasaca is another one of my favorite lunch stops in Raleigh, and the arepas are so reasonably priced. I like to get the Signature Pork Arepa, which is filled with juicy pork, black eyed peas, cheese, lettuce and comes with a killer mustard sauce.

I live like 2.5 miles from Guasaca, and my gym is like 0.2 miles from there, and I'm embarrassed to admit how little I go there, given how much I love it. I don't know what it is about the Lake Boone location, but I always forget it's there.
