What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Front Street Restaurant is praised for its intimate, cozy atmosphere within a Victorian home and imaginative Italian and Continental dishes, with highlights like truffle gnocchi and veal Marsala. However, some diners have noted issues with slow service during busy periods and, in rare instances, concerns about food quality or hygiene, though many find the overall experience to be excellent.
"Great restaurant and great service! There are many items to select from a huge menu. The atmosphere is really European as it is very intimate and decorated with many antiques. The walkway up to the restaurant is also really different as it is set back, so you walk down a path that is plant & ivy covered. The food was excellent! The portions were generous and price was moderate. Would definitely "highly recommend" dining at Front Street!!!"

"Nice place : tight and crowded good for friends and partners. Service was slow but not painful. 20 minutes for drink orders. 25 minutes appetizers after we ordered drinks. Dinner came about 10 min after apps but we ordered dinner same time as apps. $16 for a drink. $12 per plate for apps. $20 to $50 per plate. Not bad. Bottle of house red $45. Ordered truffle gnocchi - that is a must if you like truffles. Excellent. A meat and pasta dish was excellent. The bolognese sauce on another dish salty but delicious - especially paired with a red wine. The white bean and shrimp pasta dish was average. Don’t order it. Good place."

"Perfect atmosphere, great food and drinks, and excellent service. Chicken parm, pesto gnocchi (special), and meatballs hit the spot! Reservations are a must (we had one)—there was a wait for tables. Space was tight but we didn’t mind. They accommodated our friend's severe dairy allergy with vegan options. Highly recommend!"
