I finally tried @Streetfries4ever. A lot of people have told me about these great fries and they were right. That’s why I’m excited they will be one of the vendors at Bacon Burgh, a celebration of all things bacon on Sept 27 at Southside Works. Street Fries brings fresh-cut loaded fries to the city with a local and international spin. They offer giant servings of fries meant for sharing, topped w...

Reviews Summary

Pittsburgh Sandwich Society's food truck is celebrated for its delicious and addictive sandwiches, especially the fried chicken and loaded fries. Diners appreciate the convenience of ordering via app and enjoying their meal in a brewery beer garden setting. However, some reviews mention issues with inconsistent sandwich quality, long wait times during peak hours, and a limited menu with sides being a la carte.

"This was a unique experience but one I would do again. It's very much like a typical food truck at a brewery down to ordering on the app but it's right there all the time so you don't have to hunt it down. I had a chicken sandwich and fries and it was fantastic! The food came out quick, was nice and hot, the chicken was delicious and the shoestring fries crispy and perfectly salty! Looking forward to my next visit!"

"Great spot for delicious sandwiches inside strange roots brewery. Order online, pick up, and take a seat outside in the beer garden. Grab some unique beers while you're at it."

"Nice spot for sandwiches. Menu is somewhat limited, but they have most of the basics (traditional burgers and then the chicken alternatives). Good prices for the most part. I got to try their grilled chicken club.

It was very well made. $13, a decent price, and the chicken was definitely pretty high quality. I do with it came with fries or some sort of side, but it was still good. Bacon was amazing: large slabs, and very crispy. Green sauce was flavorful and bun was nicely toasted.

All in all, I would recommend this spot. The sides are more a la carte so it might drive the price up quite a bit, but the burgers and sandwiches are some of the best around. Great for takeout too."

Pittsburgh Fried Chicken List

Any time Pittsburgh Sandwich Society is offering a fried chicken sandwich on the menu it is definitely the item to get. It has become one of my favorite fried chicken options because of the super crispy buttermilk breading for the fact they usually use thigh meat making it for a much juicier sandwich. This has become a staple of the Sunny Side Up Brunches they hold with Very Local PGH. I also really like their Nashville Hot for not being so overpowering that your mouth is on fire, but having enough heat to give it a strong flavor.

11 best places for pierogies in Pittsburgh

There’s probably more than one pierogi truck out there in Pittsburgh, but this one grabbed the simplest, most direct name: Pittsburgh Pierogi Truck. It’s “a bunch of Polish kids” who grew up pinching pierogies at St. Vladimir’s in Arnold, who now have a bright-red truck that travels from an auto shop in Natrona Heights to the Shaler North Hills Library. They stick to the basics, mostly — Potato and Cheese pierogies, Halushki (cabbage & noodles) and Stuffed Cabbage.
