Reviews Summary

Cafe Notte garners praise for its intimate atmosphere, highlighted by a captivating 'starry' ceiling and a cozy fireplace in the bar area. Diners frequently laud the delicious homemade pasta and bread, fresh ingredients, and attentive service, especially for special occasions. However, some reviews note that the menu can be limited, and prices may be on the higher side for certain dishes. Service speed has also been mentioned as slower during peak times or for large parties.

"We’re new to the area so we weren’t sure what to expect. I got a Negroni to start which was solid then I ordered the short ribs with papardelle and my partner got the notte pasta (meatballs). My partner’s dish could have been a tiny bit hotter temperature-wise but mine came out perfect and I was really happy with the flavors and quality of ingredients for both dishes. We got the tiramisu for dessert which was a bit heavy on the chocolate syrup but delicious nonetheless. The owner came out to greet us during our meal which I love. Great experience, would go again."

"We went here on Valentine’s Day last week and since then we have not been able to stop thinking about how much we wish we hadn’t gone here.
I made an online reservation and when we showed up, the lot was empty enough to not have to use valet. Walking into the front it was nice right off the bat. Got seated relatively quickly as well and was able to pick where we sat which was nice as well.
When we sat, I was shocked to see a fixed menu, which was not disclosed anywhere. My fiancée hadn’t looked at the menu prior to our visit but I had and was expecting the dishes I thought she’d love to be on the menu. Immediately disappointed right off the bat. I was also very surprised to see not very much range in the pricing of the entrees. Three of them were 60+ and the other two were under 50. I ordered a drink and it came very quickly and was also delicious. I ordered the Vera or something close to that name. We decided to order one soup and one salad to share since we couldn’t decide on an app. We placed our food order and got our soup and salad relatively quickly as well. The soup was smaller than I would’ve liked it to be for the price and the same goes with the salad.
From the limited menu I got the sea bass and my fiancée ordered the seafood Alfredo. My entree was cooked and seasoned very well and I enjoyed it. My fiancées seemed a little clunky. The pasta was handmade and I thought it was super thick and undercooked/doughy. Taste overall was nice but for an almost $50 pasta dish I expected way better.
All in all we spent $200 tip included and looking back since then we could’ve gone almost anywhere in the city and spent less and had better. We don’t go out very often but we have been able to dine at some really nice places downtown and we would have rather gone somewhere else and spent way less."

"We ate at Café Notte tonight and were really impressed with the updates they’ve made. The place recently went through some renovations and rolled out a new menu, and you can tell a lot of thought went into both. The decor is beautiful—warm, inviting, and the new tables and chairs are both elegant and super comfortable.

The food was definitely the highlight. We started with the arancini and the fried zucchini—both were fantastic. The zucchini came with a lemon aioli that I could’ve eaten by the spoonful, and the arancini was perfectly crispy on the outside and packed with flavorful sausage and risotto on the inside.

For dinner, we had the chicken Milanese and the aglio e olio. The chicken was fried just right—crispy but not greasy—with a bright lemon sauce, capers, and garlic that pulled everything together. The aglio e olio was simple in the best way—lots of fresh garlic and just the right amount of cheese.

What also stood out, was the attention to detail and care from the staff. The chef/owner came out before we ordered to introduce himself and walk us through the menu, and then stopped back afterward to make sure we enjoyed everything. You can tell he takes a lot of pride in the food and the experience—he mentioned that everything is made fresh daily with farm-to-table ingredients, and it shows.

Our server was great too—super friendly, attentive, and had some great recommendations.

If you’ve been to Café Notte before, it’s definitely worth a return visit to see the new space and try the new menu. We’ll definitely be back again soon"
