The salads were well prepared and fresh-if adding protein-note that the amount of chicken, etc. is around or less than 1/4 cup. The Pretzel Bites are delicious. The Cheese bread was inedible-I am always hopeful it will taste good but it was hard a rock and not edible. The pizzas were on brand with mellow mushroom.

I started not to put the Mellow Mushroom on this list, even though I think it’s among the best pizzas out there. It just doesn’t give me Italian vibes, you know?. However, I have a deep and abiding love for this restaurant, and I couldn’t leave it off the list entirely.

But Mellow Mushroom is just an easy, classic, tried and true go-to. Their hippy food menu includes stone-baked pizzas, dairy-free cheese, gluten-free crusts and the largest list of ingredients for customizations that you'll ever see, which is what I love most about it.
