Reviews Summary

Tratto is lauded as an exceptional Italian dining destination, consistently delivering delicious, authentic cuisine and impeccable service. Diners rave about the homemade pasta, unique seasonal dishes, and the warm, inviting atmosphere perfect for special occasions. While most experiences are stellar, a few diners found the food to be lacking for the price point, with one particularly negative review criticizing the cacio e pepe preparation.

"This restaurant is an undeniable gem for anyone seeking authentic Italian cuisine. Seated at the bar, we indulged in a symphony of flavors, sharing starters, handmade pasta, entrées, and decadent desserts—each dish a masterpiece.

Chris Bianco’s passion for his craft shines through every plate, a heartfelt tribute to his roots in Italy. Here, you won’t find Americanized interpretations but rather a reverent celebration of Italy’s culinary heritage. Each dish tells a story, honoring traditional recipes and showcasing ingredients sourced with care and respect for their origins. Dining here is more than a meal—it’s a journey to the soul of Italian cooking."

"An amazing dinning experience as always. The atmosphere is comfortable and open - service is flawless and the food options delicious.

We have been often and never had a bad meal. This time we tried the NY Strip - not the best option. A bit more marbled than we expected at this level of dinning. We would have opted for the pork chops or chicken which have never disappointed."

"Every once in a while you have a truly incredible dining experience…last night was one of those. While I initially went back and forth about taking myself out for a fancy dinner for my birthday, I said why not. As someone who worked in leadership with Fairmont Hotels for over seven years, I understand the power of authentic hospitality and genuine service. I dined at the bar and Ash treated me like I was a regular/friend and made me feel like I’m at home. Never rushing me, honest, authentic, and fun. She heard it was my birthday and made it special. Great wine and food recommendations - incredible. Other staff members also heard, and came by to say happy birthday too. Erin, the manager clearly has done a fantastic job with her team and checked in multiple times. Did I expect it, absolutely not. But these experiences rarely happen.

I have to share a story. Restaurants like Tratto make magic and more importantly, community happen. Another guest (Dean), was sitting at the bar and must have heard it was my birthday (we never talked except for saying happy birthday on his way out-which already made my day). He left a shocking surprise on my tab…I couldn’t believe it. Kelly, another guest, comes to Tratto because of Erin’s +1 service and was sat next to me. We had a great conservation and surprised me with the focaccia to take home that she raved about all night. I felt honored to sit with such great people (not because of the gifts). I hope Tratto can share this with both their team and Dean/Kelly when they come back. This literally made my week, as someone that doesn’t celebrate their birthday much, nor had anyone to celebrate with. Time to pay it forward, and another reminder to get off the phone and talk to those around you!"

Scroll Mark Chacón’s Instagram and you’re in for a sweet treat. As pastry chef for Chris Bianco’s restaurants ( Tratto, Pizzeria Bianco, and Pane Bianco), Chacón posts pic after gorgeous pic of apple huckleberry crostadas glazed to perfection, tempting maple bourbon pecan tarts ready for their closeup, perfectly profiled horchata cake, toasted hazelnut brown butter beauties coated in cognac ganache and candied nuts, all fabulously photogenic and rustically regal. Here we are, three years after I gave Tratto the only five-star review of my tenure, and far as I’m concerned it’s still the perfect restaurant. I was ready to jump out a tenth story window when I heard Anthony Andiario was skipping town but Chris Bianco has a nose for young talent, and to my delight it turns out that Cassie Shortino is a bonafide rock star. Bianco’s vision of a localized, Arizona-flecked vessel to convey the soul of Italian cuisine remains fully realized, some of the city’s best food in one of its most humbly elegant environments.

Tratto is Chris Bianco’s fancy Italian place, and that’s about all that needs to be said. It doesn’t have any Bianco pizza, but the attention to detail in the ingredients and preparation, and the level of craft is the same (if even more elevated). Just note that this isn’t your typical red-sauce style of Italian food—the food here is pretty wild, and might scare away your in-laws who are used to simple preparations of American-style dishes.
