Reviews Summary

Kaizen PHX is lauded for its exceptional sushi quality and creative Japanese-Latin fusion dishes, complemented by friendly service and a sleek, cool atmosphere. Diners frequently praise the delicious food, particularly during the generous happy hour. However, some reviews note occasional service inconsistencies and a slightly longer wait time for food.

"This place gets 5 stars across the board. Food, service, and atmosphere are on point. The food is light and refreshing. After sharing 2 apps, 2 entrees, a sushi roll and dessert - we were pleasantly full (but not that heavy thanksgiving meal full). The entrees aren’t large but thoughtful in flavor and presentation. With specials that not change seasonal but monthly! The service was friendly and helpful with questions. Continuous water and checking in just the right amount of time. The atmosphere is this cool retro building that has been modified for businesses. The decor and vibe plus lighting gives it a sleek comfortable atmosphere. Perfect for a date or special occasion. It also has a killer happy hour on food till 6."

Ryan Kelley

"We stopped by because of their awesome happy hour deals. The sushi is a bit overpriced if it's not happy hour, so we only come during that time. Service is very nice- as is the owner. The quality of the food is pretty good, and I like how they come up with original drinks. I also like that they have a decent vegetarian selection. The interior is sleek and clean, and usually seems to be poppin."

Liz

"As a sushi connoisseur, I can say that Kaizen is THE PLACE to go in Phoenix. We have eaten at many a place on the west coast and by far, for AZ, this is the spot. Fish on point. Excellent service. Kitchen stays open up to 10 mins before closing. Full bar. Just a wonderful experience."

The signature restaurant of the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass, Kai serves elegant, inventive cuisine informed by the food traditions of Indigenous tribes native to the area. The restaurant doesn't publish a menu on the website because Chef Ryan Swanson likes to change menus progressively through the seasons. But past triumphs have included grilled buffalo tenderloin with smoked corn puree, cholla buds, chorizo and scarlet runner bean chile, and saguaro blossom syrup; and an Arizona melon soup with grilled deep-sea langoustine, local goat's milk, mulato chile, cucumber, and pepicha.

Sitting in the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass, Kai isn’t really near any other hotspots, and its Native American tasting menu has no real comps, so we tend not to talk about it.
