What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Glai Baan is lauded for its authentic and intensely flavorful Thai street food, particularly dishes from the Isan region. Diners rave about the cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and creative cocktails. While some find the seating a bit uncomfortable, the overall consensus is that the food is exceptional and well worth a visit.
"I have been wanting to dine here for a long time and I finally was passing through at a good time.
To say the food here is “world class” would be an understatement. The staff have a perfect balance of engaging and chill. Fantastic atmosphere (I love the music in here). I was sat at the bar and served by Bamboo - great dude!
Ordered Hitachino Nest’s red rice ale, I’m about halfway through my Pad Kee Mao (one of my favorite dishes overall and they prepare jt exceptionally) and I’ve already ordered a Panang curry to go (my neighbor at the bar ordered it and it smells/looks incredible).
(Edit: snuck a bite of the Panang before I left… oh. My. God. 🥹)
If you have an opportunity to dine here and don’t… well don’t make that mistake! If I could come here a couple times a week I would!
Only rated 5🌟because I can’t rate 11🌟"

"What a wonderful experience! Great Thai food; great service; great fun. We went to Glai Baan without reservations, not the best way, but know that they reserve some seats for drop-ins. The host greeted us warmly. It was about 4:30p, and all the inside seats for our group size (4 and a 3 year old) were taken so we were seated outside. A bit warm yesterday, 102°, but we were shaded by a nice bougainvillea. The waiting staff was great and tended to us like we were family. The food is the best Thai we have experienced here in the Valley. We will definitely return!! Highly recommend."

"Everything here feels thoughtfully curated, from the decor to the food presentation. Every dish we tried was delicious, and I’d highly recommend starting with the mushroom appetisers. The shrimp Pad Thai was another standout.
Service was outstanding—warm, friendly, and attentive. You can tell the food is made by people who are from Thailand.
There is a beautiful little outdoor patio that’s perfect for relaxing, and there’s plenty of free parking, which is always a plus. Even if you’re sitting outside, they’ve got a huge fan that keeps things cool and comfortable during the summer."
