What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Jackson's Steakhouse is lauded for its perfectly cooked steaks and elegant, historic ambiance, making it a top dining spot in Pensacola. While many praise the attentive service and unique appetizers like the Lobster Tempura, some diners note that steaks can be bland or overcooked. The added credit card transaction fee has also been a point of contention for some patrons.
"This place is worth all the hype. The steaks are perfectly cooked and seasoned. It's intimate, elegant, and just all around a nice place to go. I highly recommend for a nice date or like me, just a really nice dinner with my daughters. Great service. Everyone is very attentive."

"Was invited to Jackson's for dinner. As for the location, it's difficult to find parking, which is now typical for downtown Pensacola. The lighting is soft, which I prefer. I did have a signature drink that didn't quite meet my expectations for taste and strength. The waiver, David, was quick, friendly, and super informative. Even though it was busy, he managed his time well. I realized later this week was Winter Restaurant Week, so the portions on that menu were more sample size, which makes sense. I could've selected from the normal menu but didn't.
I had apple creme Brule for dessert and expected it to be warm, but it appeared to have just come out of the refrigerator. Wasn't used to that.
The only downside I have is seeing the credit card transaction fee on the receipt🤔
I visit MANY restaurants of all scales, and to pass the fee along to your patrons just seems foul. I understand they have the right to do that, but I'm wondering why would they.
Probably won't be back, but it's worth checking out to form your own opinion"

"The food was great, I'm a pescatarian and there were several options for me, it's not just steak. I got salmon with herbs and I absolutely loved it. I did have leftovers, but I came in starving. The bread before dinner is DELICIOUS and I have to say it might make up for some of your actual meal if you, like me, love a freshly baked bread with butter. The food took a while to arrive, but we were a group of 22 people. Once it arrived, it was brought up by several staff servers and they all, simultaneously, laid our plates down. Thus, we all ate together and I really liked that detail which I haven't seen in other restaurants."
